Several large wildfires have significantly impacted Los Angeles County including many homes and properties of celebrities. The events leading to the fires and specific impact on the Kardashian and Jenner families has created headlines, as they too faced evacuations and the threat of losing their residences.
Multiple fires occurred at different times around Los Angeles resulting in 180,000 people being issued evacuation orders. The blazes destroyed many homes in places like the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Lidia creating challenges for several Los Angeles communities.
The large scope of impact did not spare even celebrities with noted figures as Jamie Lee Curtis Mandy Moore and Tina Knowles. These all made up some who sadly lost homes to fire and added a heavy weight to all the other communities as well. Among these are the well-known Kardashians and Jenner families with a close perspective of how large the devastation actually is.
After the "Kenneth Fire" was established in Calabasas most of the Kardashians and Jenners had to evacuate from their homes, This caused public discussion on not only those affected but the many other areas nearby that had also experienced displacement. Many homes around Hidden Hills and Calabasas including that of Rob Kim Khloe Kourtney Kendall Kylie and Kris all had to leave their areas temporarily which has been said to be under 50% containment.
There is an active investigation due to suspicions of arson from the fires. Police detained a man for a possible violation of parole in the event who was said to be involved with the fire's spark. This has created even more unrest as some feel this issue of nature could have potentially been stopped or even intentional.
Khloe Kardashian had made it known that her intense opinion about the individual involved. Sharing multiple stories that expressed strong opinions regarding this individual she highlighted the frustrations and need for those responsible to be fully prosecuted.
Several family members from the Kardashian and Jenners families offered emotional takes while also working with their communities through their public reach to raise awareness. These high profiles are also working to provide assistance through monetary donations or needed physical resources with many other organizations involved.
Both Kim Kardashian through SKIMS and her company donated to local organizations. There was also direct donations from all to The Los Angeles Fire Department and Baby2Baby to support affected families and also those who are first responders. In addition they also used their family connection to hire out Carousel restaurant in order to make hundreds of meals to distribute to those working on the front lines.
Other celebrities whose homes were lost in the fires also took to social media and the public to give their views on what was lost. They also offered insight on support for the community during the devastations showing their continued dedication to giving voice to the local communities affected.
There were varying degrees of devastation expressed through the comments from each actor however a unified gratitude was shared for the efforts by the firefighters. Specific instances of devastation are those from homes and studios as those in creative fields were expressing heavy hearts while they took in what they are processing with this loss.
The incident has left Los Angeles resident and business owners alike critical of LA mayor Karen Bass. Khloe Kardashian called the leader "a joke" due to hearing there was budget cuts issued. After Chief Crowley made the claim there were inadequate resources they expressed frustration over what happened during the chaos.
