Based on events surrounding the loss of the venerable "unsinkable" ship, Titanic is a 1997 blockbuster romantic/disaster epic. Returning to the past then ahead to the present, the film mostly chronicles the tales of the well-to--do and somewhat shy Rose and the impoverished but energetic Jack, star-crossed lovers who meet aboard the tragic ship.
