James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, has made a big point that things are taking time! A whole lot is happening right now, as there isn't a screenplay for "The Brave and The Bold." meaning they can't start their search for the next Batman quite yet. Even rumors suggesting an older Batman actor, were debunked on social media!

There were multiple responses on Threads that showed how active Gunn continues to be when attempting to share the most up-to-date information!

He made a correction that it would be DC Studios who made this decision, showing that only official statements should be what is considered valid information.
A very specific idea that made its rounds on the internet focused on a new idea that would pair a Batman and Superman that were relatively similar in age. The response made it clear it would never happen with the reason it wasn't appropriate based on their own comic books.

The Importance Of Timing

The timing of these rumors could not be more difficult! Everything is getting developed but this reboot movie needs some crucial aspects in place before anything can really start!

While Andy Muschietti is directing, they need writers who are developing the movie and that isn't going to happen soon. It may even mean that the process to find a screenwriter may take years to accomplish. This would ultimately make finding someone as Batman, even more difficult!
