Though ‘Wicked’ had four total nominations it earned less than “Emilia Pérez” which earned ten with two nods specifically within “Best Song” category something “Wicked” could not compete. Jon M. Chu was left off best director nomination list that is something considered negative to those wanting a complete sweep in all award categories. Arianna Grande did have her first Golden Globes nomination in supporting role for playing “Glinda Upland” also joined by Selena Gomez of “Emilia Pérez” and also actress Zoe Saldana took the best supporting trophy.
