Atlas: Examining Closely
Jennifer Lopez stars Atlas Shepherd in the 2024 Netflix original film. Data analyst Atlas sets out to retrieve a renegade robot; she does not trust AI. She must, however, rely on artificial intelligence to trust when events deviate from expectations if we are to save mankind.
Viewers will have to watch the film to determine whether the narrative turns out as effective with an interesting twist at the end as it is not evident how it develops.
The Netflix Evolution
Atlas follows a bigger Netflix trend not only for Lopez but also for most customers who view whatever new movie occurs on the streaming site that weekend with little thought given to its quality. Given this past Memorial Day weekend, Furiosa, George Miller's prequel to his 2015 blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, disappointed at the box office even with great reviews, which is particularly frustrating. But the Netflix trend is likely to endure for the foreseeable future as viewers grow more reluctant about visiting theatres.
