While aiming to protect the fans Jackson's management team issued a statement regarding this matter via social media .
Jackson and his team put out a message saying they would never ask fans directly for money, gift cards or to meet in person through social media. They encouraged all fans to be aware of all fake accounts and to never interact with them. Those impersonating the country artist also have used social media as a way to seem authentic so official information channels for that artist would be very important to reference moving forward.
