Perfect MCU Blade Introduction Already Designed For Three Years Now
Marvel's Blade is having trouble getting off the ground, but Mahershala Ali's vampire-hunting hero might have already his MCU premiere in another film. Among the most well-known occult repertory characters in Marvel Comics is Eric Brooks. Better known as Blade, Eric Brooks confronts all sorts of sinister and dark challenges, running across adversaries including Deacon Frost, Michael Morbius, and Dracula himself. The MCU's Blade relaunch has encountered various challenges notwithstanding the popularity of the character and the fact that Marvel's original three Blade films were vital for the present success of the superhero movie genre.
Originally unveiled at San Diego Comic Con 2019, star Mahershala Ali personally revealed the main elements of the project and expressed his enthusiasm about bringing the title anti-hero into the MCU. Blade has been delayed several times since then, both in response to significant production modifications and franchise-wide failures. Blade allegedly has been rewritten five times and lost two directors within five years. Marvel and Mahershala Ali obviously want to get Blade perfect, but their first set-up has been totally overlooked.
Wasting Eternals' Post-Credits Scene: MCU
Eternals' post-credits scene in 2021 saw Dane Whitman building the bravery to reveal a family treasure until he is interrupted by someone off-screen asking him whether he really believes he is ready to face the repercussions. Naturally, the Ebony Blade is the treasure; the enigmatic man is Mahershala Ali's Blade. Though nothing has thus far come of it, Eternals' post-credits scene set up a shared journey between Blade and Black Knight. Kit Harington's schedule shows no MCU appearances, hence the Blade standalone film is still far off.
There was no reason Eternals should incorporate a Blade tease if there were no intentions to carry on this storyline. Though three years without any payback or updates on Dane Whitman's location begs numerous concerns about the sequence, Eternals' post-credits scene does not necessarily build up a Blade and Black Knight crossover movie. There was no justification for Eternals to incorporate a Blade tease, which only becomes more embarrassing as the MCU advances if there were no intentions to carry on this story line. The fact that Eternals' ending and mid-credits tease haven't been addressed either makes it look as though Marvel has entirely discounted Eternals, and Blade's several delays and rewrites simply exacerbate insult to injury.
The Mystical Characters of the MCU have spent too long without a crossover.
Not only are Blade and Black Knight among the two characters who seem to have been cast aside following their first appearance—or voice cameo in Blade's case—but others as well. Though there are no projects in the MCU's present slate where Moon Knight is set to return, except for Avengers 5 or Avengers: Secret Wars, both published more than four years later, Moon Knight set up its namesake character to be one of the next A-list heroes of the Multiverse Saga. Likewise, Man-Thing, Elsa Bloodstone, and Werewolf By Night have no confirmed appearances in any of the MCU's forthcoming films as yet announced.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness strengthened Wong's reputation as a fan-favorite character and demands a Wong solo series at its height with Wong's supporting part in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. But Wong hasn't been seen or heard of in practically two years now. These characters should have met each other by now, at least started to create a distinct MCU path of their own, even if it could still be too early for an Avengers-level crossover bringing all occult heroes together. Possibly in the shape of Doctor Strange 3, released in between Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars, Doctor Strange may be the only mystical figure who could have another project outside from an Avengers movie.
What may a blade and black knight crossover be about?
Though Blade and Black Knight have no shared comic book narrative, their prospective MCU team-up might fit portions of both character source material. Either because he wants to battle vampires using the Ebony Blade as a weapon or because he doesn't want the sword's full power to be released, Blade advised Dane Whitman about its dangers. Blade's intervention allows Eric Brooks and Dane Whitman to confront Black Knight enemies like Mordred and Bloodwraith as well as Blade villains like Draconis and Lilith who seek the Ebony Blade for themselves.
Under the Marvel Spotlight label, Blade and Black Knight might assemble the Nightstalkers in a Special Presentation publication. Their first team-up might be a prelude to a Midnight Sons crossover, not a full-length film either before or after Blade and Black Knight solo ventures. In the comics, Doctor Strange gathers a small squad to battle Lillith, the mother of all demons. Blade, Ghost Rider, and Morbius are among the heroes Strange hires into the "Nightstalkers." Blade and Black Knight may establish the Nightstalkers in the MCU under the Marvel Spotlight banner in a Special Presentation release before adding more members and rebranding their squad.
Blade and Black Knight: an MCU Potential Team-Up
Blade's production's continuous fluctuations point to nothing about Eric Brooks' first MCU cameo being fixed in stone yet. For example, actor Aaron Pierre left Blade's cast following one of the several rewrites for the production. But Danish Whitman actor Kit Harington has not been attached to Blade at any stage. Marvel could surprise viewers with a quick Danish Whitman cameo when Blade eventually opens theatres, but Kit Harington's absence in Blade's several versions means Black Knight and the Ebony Blade most certainly won't feature any part in the film.
While Marvel's Black Knight was gently set up over the whole movie, Eternals' post-credits saw Dane Whitman pick up the Ebony Blade. In Marvel Comics, Dane Whitman picks up the Black Knight's mantle and the Ebony Blade from his uncle, Nathan Garrett. Unlike Nathan, Dane avoids the corrupting effect of the Ebony Blade to become an autonomous superhero and an Avenger and utilizes the blade for heroic intent. Blade keeps out of the Avengers' major strife while working full-time as a vampire-hunter. In the comics, Blade and Black Knight never really cross paths; so, any shared narrative between them in the MCU must be unique notion.
Blade and Black Knight in the MCU: Examining the Prospectives
Although official confirmation is lacking, Blade and Black Knight's possibility to link up in the MCU is nonetheless fascinating. The Ebony Blade's appearance in Eternals and the shared scene with Blade have spurred conjecture on a potential crossover. With their different talents and dispositions, the two characters might produce an interesting dynamic that provides a special fusion of supernatural action and adventure.
Blade and Black Knight team-up might provide the MCU a fresh degree of mystery and thrill. Their same passion in confronting supernatural dangers can result in an exciting cooperation spanning several films. The possible risks of the Ebony Blade, the battle to manage its corrupting influence, and the fight against strong enemies seeking to take advantage of its power might all be covered in a possible plot. There are countless opportunities for a Blade and Black Knight crossover to provide a novel and interesting perspective on the always growing MCU universe.
