Venom: The Last Dance – Everything We Know (So Far!)
Venom 3: Get Ready for the Final Showdown!
Get ready for some serious symbiote action, folks! Venom: The Last Dance is almost here! This movie picks up after Venom: Let There Be Carnage and that wild Spider-Man: No Way Home mid-credits scene; a wild crossover which took Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom into the MCU (before promptly sending them back!). This has completely set things up for this highly anticipated finale. Is this the ultimate end for Eddie and Venom? That’s going to depend on many factors! It does look epic!
Tom Hardy's been incredibly hands-on throughout the production. And this latest film promises the biggest stakes ever! With so much drama hinted toward from this sequel–this has made people anticipate the very high probability that things won't go entirely well for Eddie, Venom or both!
Venom 3's Release Date and Confirmed Cast
The release date for Venom 3 has had a couple of changes – initially July 12th, 2024—pushed to November 8th, 2024–and finally settling on October 25th, 2024. We're still getting a major symbiote battle right after Kraven the Hunter! That is going to mean a totally awesome back-to-back for Marvel enthusiasts!
But the most important aspect might still be just exactly who appears in the movie and we still have an extensive list here:
- Tom Hardy: Back as Eddie Brock/Venom! (This is obviously mandatory; this alone has created much anticipation)
- Juno Temple: Plays Dr. Payne—seen working alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor's mystery character!
- Chiwetel Ejiofor: An undisclosed military-type role involved in this grand chase of symbiotes and the Venom character. This character alone seems extremely dangerous and well-designed.
- Rhys Ifans: Another undisclosed character who appeared briefly in that trailer; maybe not actually the Lizard (after No Way Home that's way less likely) and that specific character detail may or may not change.
- Peggy Lu: She’s Mrs. Chen, our familiar convenience store clerk! This is so fun and it is going to have huge levels of anticipation surrounding just why she is back for the sequel.
- Stephen Graham: Likely Toxin’s future role and potential creation arc is teased. He's Detective Patrick Mulligan from the prior sequel– now likely affected by that prior symbiote interaction. This shows a clever narrative development that continues this important, larger narrative!
- Alanna Ubach: A mystery role for now – this mysterious casting has heightened many audience's intrigue concerning exactly just who might actually show up later.
- Christine Fernandes: Plays a bartender; this same bartender also appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home! It is going to be intriguing why exactly this specific bartender is again showing up, this could mean something much greater than anyone anticipates, as the simple fact that he is there has to mean something in some level!
It remains unclear what Knull’s role will exactly be; that fact alone adds immense anticipation! And even though Michelle Williams (Anne Weying) might not return for this film– the possibility is not completely closed! And while this finale could indeed be Tom Hardy's last hurrah as Venom– other Sony properties may yet call on him! It really depends entirely on whatever plans Sony might already have for this particular character. Regardless, this remains as one of Tom Hardy's most memorable roles!
Venom 3's Storyline Hints: Government Conspiracies and Cosmic Threats!
Plot details aren’t entirely abundant! However, we’ve got plenty of details and theories. It continues after No Way Home; and focuses on Eddie Brock and Venom's new challenge. Government types try to keep Venom’s existence super secret, alongside a big challenge: Those threats from Venom’s homeworld are coming to collect! The trailer shows that epic conflict perfectly, showing multiple, distinct battle moments.
Other important aspects: That cryptic Tom Hardy set photo of that graffiti is hinting towards multiple storylines! Some suggest Lobo Cartel (werewolves) showing just how deep those creative approaches to this very dark theme become. Or those super-suit wearing Jury, vigilantes attempting to take Venom down. We have no specific hints from the trailer, however it really does raise many important narrative possibilities for its ending which should keep many interested!
How Venom: The Last Dance Ties Into Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (and Maybe the MCU?)
There's a strong connection between Venom and Sony’s larger Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Remember Morbius’s mid-credits scene? The Vulture (from the MCU!) shows up in SSU– totally suggesting a Sinister Six team-up in the future. There’s a real chance to see some cameos. And once Kraven the Hunter hits screens, he’ll be another perfect fit for this super villain team. So that’s going to be intense!
But it's Knull’s appearance that will really define this ending; that cosmic villain is insanely huge, that powerful creator of symbiotes (that Venom comes from!). It was stated that this movie won't completely finish off Knull’s storyline; setting this all-important moment up for something bigger later, acting potentially as that huge boss for that future of Sony's SSU; that's massive. That multiversal aspect greatly raises the stakes – bringing him across to the MCU might become completely feasible and realistic!
Conclusion: Prepare for a Symbiote Spectacular!
Venom 3 looks massive! This will be Tom Hardy's final Venom appearance in this specific storyline! Those incredible moments will conclude this whole trilogy, raising those stakes hugely as Eddie and Venom face threats from both Earth and elsewhere! This finale feels incredibly cinematic; delivering all those action beats and humor to give audiences a big and memorable payoff! Don't miss the action!
