Venom 3: Knull's Arrival Exposes MCU & Sony's Villainous Blunders!

Venom 3's Knull: Why Two Awesome Marvel Villains Died Too Soon!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage's Knull Reveal: A Missed Opportunity for Epic Villainy!

Get ready for some serious comic book movie talk, folks! Venom: The Last Dance is bringing the big bad, Knull, into the mix! And this totally throws some serious shade at both Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the MCU, for making some really questionable choices involving certain key characters that ended up dying far too soon. We're going to unpack why these choices made absolutely no sense given what transpired after!

Knull's introduction is awesome. In Venom 3, we're going to get the ultimate symbiote showdown. Yet before this arrives, there are some earlier deaths of highly significant villains and characters that got removed too early, which now seems completely unnecessary, almost ridiculous. It makes you really wonder just how this entire event would change things!

The Cosmic Horror of Knull: A Missed Connection

Knull is the king of the symbiotes. His arrival is massive— setting up epic opportunities within this new movie and creating anticipation; however, there are missed opportunities! That whole setup for the Knull storyline? In Marvel Comics, it links directly to a massive storyline involving  Gorr the God Butcher and even Carnage. These connections remain extremely significant: Knull's origin connects directly to the arrival of the Celestials in the original Marvel comic. That set up so many epic battles, that all tied together through Knull's creations.

But things never really had that epic battle or development for this kind of truly epic clash! Those missed chances?  Well, that happens when you kill those involved too early. Gorr got axed by the MCU after Thor: Love and Thunder. And Sony? They offed Carnage in Venom: Let There Be Carnage (by the way, he got his head eaten. That's not a good death!). Even that legendary weapon, All-Black the Necrosword appeared–yet those significant moments involving that pivotal artifact never quite materialized! The failure to emphasize just how important those pieces could have been really undermines Knull's impact and undermines a lot of potential storylines.

Gorr and Carnage: The Villains That Could Have Been

The initial problems faced both Gorr and Carnage received very similar complaints; despite trying to convey this image of gruesome killers; that reputation remained severely hampered by those movies. Both had enormous potential for a significantly extended run. That's a big loss.  Gorr was supposed to be a serious threat to Thor, his equivalent to a major villain like Loki.  And Carnage?  That's Venom's ultimate nemesis! Yet, Gorr was killed relatively easily during Thor: Love and Thunder , Carnage met an ignominious end at Venom's hands. So much lost!

Keeping Gorr and Carnage alive opens an amazing door for even more expansive plot development within the Sony verse and for more significant opportunities within the MCU. They could easily work together in a large team up involving Venom,  Gorr, and Knull to provide this seriously unique story arc never achieved before! They totally could have introduced Carnage into the MCU.  The lack of doing either of these things undermines a massive amount of potential which clearly was possible.

Carnage and Gorr's returns now seem entirely unlikely, due to those previous deaths.  The Venom trilogy is ending, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is off facing new foes.  And they really seemed to put to death Gorr and Carnage – there is little doubt.

Yet that does not mean nothing is possible! Marvel is infamous for their changes in the storyline that allows resurrected versions of prior characters – they may simply add another villain and story; or a unique iteration of an existing one– something found before which creates the basis for another highly unlikely event! There’s this thing called the Multiverse, folks. There could be new iterations in the MCU’s Earth-616, possibly with Tom Holland's Spider-Man! Even Knull’s existence opens so many doors that we might get some surprises later in upcoming releases from both the MCU and Sony!

Conclusion: Knull's Arrival Highlights Massive Missed Potential!

Knull's arrival highlights those massive misses within those earlier Marvel movie choices!  Both Sony and MCU seriously whiffed; killing off big villains entirely too soon!  While some fan demands might not get perfectly executed (there's no Thor, no connection to the MCU’s Gorr!), Knull's presence still creates those major new opportunities.   It makes viewers eagerly anticipate the potential results – a story waiting to be further explored which emphasizes its future impact in upcoming releases!
