Remember those awesome days of Star Wars, especially the incredible "The Force Awakens."?
In "The Force Awakens," we got to see one of the biggest re-entries into this iconic film series. In fact, you will see that the new series brought some super special twists.
But have you ever thought about how things almost played out? One scene, if it happened, could have made the movie very different!
We saw Luke Skywalker, a Jedi legend who did amazing, awesome things as a character in the Star Wars movies. In The Force Awakens he got a special, memorable moment.
But it seems that his moment of recognition was not what might have happened originally.
However, a famous actor gave us a glimpse into the world of filmmaking. Mark Hamill revealed a scene that almost took place! It would have really shaken things up!
Mark Hamill confirmed that one idea would have had "The Force Awakens" start with a shot of "a hand" with a lightsaber flying towards "Jakku." Then the hand and the bone of that hand just would have melted and gone away, disappearing from sight! Then this cool alien hand (not sure which character, it may have even been "Maz") would grab the lightsaber, giving the audience a huge tease at the very start!
What really adds to this amazing insight is that it likely would have included the famous blue lightsaber! The scene looks very similar to what happened in The Empire Strikes Back, which fans will love. The iconic part of this movie was that you got to see "Luke Skywalker's" hand get cut off, along with his lightsaber going down into the reactor shaft. It's fair to say that in "The Force Awakens the scene might have shown that the lightsaber landed on "Jakku," where the whole scene unfolds!
In the world of "Star Wars" that would mean so much more, and make that one single lightsaber more epic! Fans might already be feeling that there is something amazing about these pieces!
While Luke Skywalker's first scene in the movie could have changed the movie entirely, fans know what makes these movies so fascinating - a touch of the unknown! If it was Maz, that would mean we would know more about why she had such a cool weapon!
"The Force Awakens" could have been even better if this scene was there, and what's really a huge bonus is how much more compelling "Rey's" journey would have been and how it fit into the greater storyline of the entire Star Wars series.
There is no denying the power of "The Force Awakens," for all "Star Wars" fans.
It seems that the creators were in such a special zone. It was very powerful and one of the movies that really captivated audiences. But if this scene made it in there! The creators might have found an even greater way to captivate audiences. For now, you can dive back into the movie that helped make this movie, so memorable! And see why there are so many fans that have adored this film and everything it had to offer!
