The Batman universe is expanding, and Gotham's villains are about to get a whole lot more interesting! Get ready for some epic showdowns!
The Batman Part II: Villain War
It looks like Matt Reeves' The Batman - Part II is going to be explosive! The Penguin series has shown that Gotham's villains aren't exactly best buds and a showdown looks imminent!
Remember in The Batman, the Riddler (played by Paul Dano) caused a ton of mayhem when he destroyed Gotham's seawall! While he may think he won, there are some who see his plan quite differently.
The Penguin's Perspective
The Penguin (played by Colin Farrell), sees things from another point of view. The Riddler's attack made a whole bunch of innocent people homeless and more vulnerable than ever!
This is seen from a unique perspective in The Penguin, as Victor Aguilar tells Oz Cobb how he ended up on the streets.
Villain vs. Villain Conflict
In the comics, the Batman villains often team up! In Reeves' Batman universe though? Things are about to change. Oz Cobb in The Penguin doesn't hold back on his anger toward the Riddler!
- He gets angry at a Riddler supporter in episode 1
- In episode 3, he shows Victor how much this all sucks.
Oz Cobb is focused on building his own power and is not exactly on board with how other criminals affect innocent citizens, which means we could have the epic battle that DC Comics has promised to deliver! This leads us to speculate just who might join these battles!
The Big Players
Things get really complicated as other major villains show up! Imagine The Penguin clashing with the Riddler (possibly alongside the Joker who has been teased!)? A total catastrophe is bound to happen, creating some real mayhem. Throw in Sofia Falcone and Catwoman? We might just have Gotham's biggest ever villain brawl. This looks like a chance to bring an incredible amount of talent to the big screen. What a clash!
Villain Showdown
The show looks epic with these conflicting villains adding complexity to Gotham's mess. We have already seen big battles! But this new addition looks amazing! The Batman - Part II has an opportunity to stand out from other Batman movies by really making these conflict moments shine. Fans are always so thrilled to see unique perspectives, even with some familiar characters.
Think about how great this all could be! We have Batman facing big guys like Hush or the Court of Owls, while The Penguin, The Riddler, and the Joker duke it out in the shadows. An interesting change that sets this series apart, Colin Farrell's Penguin and Paul Dano's Riddler are on very different sides.
- The Penguin is a gangster, building his way up.
- The Riddler is an anti-social terrorist. He says he wants to save the city. It could happen but things just might become quite explosive.
The Batman - Part II might make all of Gotham's baddies even more complex than they appear and just give us a new exciting and intriguing story!
