It turns out that Street Kings was one of Ayer's many movie ventures after "Training Day!" The star power was strong as Keanu Reeves joined Chris Evans to help "Street Kings" become one of those amazing movie experiences! The action was intense, but a lot was also about crime! You see, the plot really shows the struggles of the law and the dirty cops! "Street Kings" also focuses on the way corrupted cops can change when it's too late to take a different course in their lives! That was a big reason why it felt like the perfect movie to watch, even if it didn't have that same title.

The heart of this amazing Crime Drama follows "Detective Tom Ludlow" (played by Keanu Reeves) as he takes this journey to try and do right after the tragic loss of his wife, but the only way he seems to be able to work is with this crazy, darker energy! There's so much going on that he doesn't only do what is right but does the best he can in a messed-up world where even the good cops try to play by their rules, but are met with a really cruel world of corruption!

It turns out that Chris Evans played the part of Detective Diskant who joined this story in 2008 with this memorable scene and character.

David Ayer Movies Ranked Image

David Ayer kept going from one movie project to the next! What he loved was crafting this type of Crime Thriller with powerful moments!

  • One of his first films was called "Harsh Times." (Also a movie with the same style as "Training Day.") What he wanted to do is not only show how the series was amazing and had a lot of clout, but also made sure "Harsh Times" was a movie audiences needed to see! The big issue was that it only got mixed reviews.
  • The director went on to bring his own unique vision to a film called "End of Watch," which is another super impressive story about the LAPD. However, it has nothing to do with "Training Day" or "Street Kings." The major thing to consider about the movie is that it received huge praise as critics thought the way it was filmed made it stand out! You could even say Ayer really was starting to get noticed in Hollywood!

All of Ayer's Movies are truly exceptional, and as you know there are so many to see! Some of those titles include:

  • "The Tax Collector."
  • "Suicide Squad."

However, one of the big highlights from this prolific director was when he directed "Street Kings"!

It’s an incredible story where we get to dive deep into that corruption!
