The truth started to become more obvious when Nick Gillard made some big comments in an interview with Chris And Company, in a 2024 interview with Chris Castellani.

He went on to discuss Spielberg's impact on a duel that was made up of amazing visuals!

  • "High Ground" is a big moment! Where it was actually revealed how Spielberg played a part in its creative process!

What is amazing, however is that Gillard really isn't completely sure and admits he doesn't want to give out all the secrets. However, what is evident, is that the crew behind "Revenge of the Sith", was very, very unhappy about "High Ground" ending!

What is clear, is that Spielberg did offer advice, a big help to Lucas to get his thoughts out. Lucas was concerned about this very interesting situation. A moment where "Jedi" were wiped out and were slain by those who are suppose to be the defenders of peace. Spielberg came up with an interesting solution, having the planets do a lot of the covering up of the bloodshed.

  • "Revenge Of The Sith", also included behind-the-scenes work with the animated Yoda and "Emperor Palpatine" duel. This only adds even more insight as to just what went into bringing the film to life!

While it sounds amazing! What Gillard suggested might have some truth to it, it wasn't a new revelation.

Back in 2019, in an interview with IGN, he shared how the same type of scenario "High Ground" had an impact and how this became part of the series! There was a time he went for a special lunch! And then the way that Hayden Christensen made it to the lunch spot is what really brought the phrase "High Ground" into focus.

  • Hayden Christensen made his way up a hill for the lunch!

This shows how big the impact of this moment really was. Even in real life it appears Gillard understood its power! It makes it a huge part of the Star Wars series, so maybe Spielberg's idea wasn't just something that came from him! But was probably a group discussion between those who had some big moments!

The heart of "Star Wars", was always a collaborative effort, that even had major players contributing.

  • There were even a slew of interviews and videos with behind-the-scenes action!

The best parts? The crew got to collaborate! That's what made "Star Wars", such a successful universe.

While it's true, we will never fully understand how a moment was created! There were many who really helped! It does highlight what's really incredible! When people work together magic can happen! And while it may sound exciting to see how Spielberg's contributions might have added extra elements to the movie's legacy, no one individual was single-handedly responsible for it!

What was great is that Lucas got a lot of support from those he really admired in this awesome world! It only adds to how remarkable Star Wars, and Spielberg have impacted generations and the entire world of film! In fact, Spielberg may have added even more wonder for a universe that is still evolving for a new generation.

While there might be those who still think that this is a debate to follow. One of the biggest lessons is to appreciate all the artists and creative forces, those who got together, making some truly unforgettable scenes for some of the most entertaining Movies of all time.
