Missing Spider-Man's MCU Origin: Winter Soldier Theory Interpreted
Hello, fellow Spider-man enthusiasts! Though the MCU never really told us how Peter Parker's parents died, everyone knows about them. Right, it's a bit of a riddle. The MCU decided to leave that aspect of Peter's narrative vague. They wanted to avoid muckering Peter's past and concentrate on his trip as Spider-Man.
That does not mean, though, that we cannot conjecture. Actually, a lot of people enjoy a rather interesting idea based on the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes. Given the MCU, this theory makes reasonable sense and is rather convincing.
Parents of The Winter Soldier & Spider-Man
The breakdown is as follows: Peter's parents, Richard and Mary Parker, were smart people most likely working on some rather significant initiatives. Perhaps they were even with S.H.I.E.L.D. or Oscorp, who know. But their efforts most likely drew them into conflict with some nasty guys. Now enter Hydra, the evil group causing disturbance in the MCU for some time already.
Renowned for their want to rule everything, HYDRA hates it when others stand in their path. They wanted to quiet Richard and Mary since they most likely knew they were onto something. Now arrive the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes. Bucky was HYDRA's weapon, a brainwashed killer who would kill anyone they instructed before he became a decent man.
The truth is Bucky was known to target some rather prominent names, including the parents of Tony Stark, Howard and Maria Stark. Bucky took them out since they possessed some information Hydra requested. Therefore, it is quite likely that Bucky would have been sent after Richard and Mary were working on something HYDRA wanted none known about.
Why the MCU omitted showing us?
Why then did the MCU not show us this? Well, it's quite simple. Their narrative didn't include it. They wanted to highlight Peter's trip as Spider-man rather than get mired in his parents' passing. Apart from that, most people already know that tale.
Peter's life in the MCU is also rather complicated already. Tony Stark is his mentor; his aunt May is there; and he struggles personally as a superhero. Including in another layer regarding the death of his parents would simply complicate matters.
The Winter Soldier Theory: An Appropriate Justification
This Winter Soldier idea fits the MCU rather perfectly and is rather convincing. Given our current knowledge of HYDRA and Bucky, it makes logical. Furthermore, even if the MCU omitted showing us this particular event, it does not follow that it did not occur. This makes sense for Peter's parents' passing and gives the MCU space to investigate it going forward.
