Centralia is known as the "Real Silent Hill." And what is really fascinating about the whole story? Well, there's nothing supernatural. No real ghosts or demons! Just one big fire! A blaze that started all the way back in 1962. The city set fire to a landfill with hopes that it would do the right thing. Instead, this fire took on an intense and frightening existence that burned through some underground tunnels! The result was the burning coal mines underneath Centralia, so much so that the city ended up having to relocate for safety concerns! The town's fire keeps going as they keep an eye on the smoke, even with most residents leaving the location for a safer life!
