This story follows the arrival of an incredibly nefarious vampire, Kurt Barlow, and if you want to explore more about where he's going, this place will give you all the insight about the place, but with one thing in mind - "Salem's Lot" isn't exactly the actual name! You can call it "Salem's Lot". Locals call it "the Lot". They often go even deeper to call this the true name, which Stephen King came up with in his story and the movie: "Jerusalem's Lot"

If you've watched the Max adaptation. The creators make a cool reference to the actual name in the movie! It's really clever because there's an iconic sign that stands for the town. This sign shows some damage that is hiding some letters but what's clear is "Salem's Lot!" As for "Barlow," he takes over a house. One that really takes us back into this terrifying tale! The Marsten House. That's the location of where he hides his dark, sinister agenda! And it really is part of the key events to know about this story!

This incredible tale! There was a big fire in 1951! That made "Jerusalem's Lot" a truly spooky spot. However, the town is really filled with history going back to the very beginning of Maine's existence as a town. What stands out is that it got started in 1710.

When it began! We're given some extra insight into why the name is Jerusalem's Lot. In the collection Night Shift. The town was created by people in this scary group that were into witchcraft!. This may seem unusual at first, but "Salem's Lot" also comes to a point where a pig, which has a really interesting name: Jerusalem. This pig had escaped and everyone feared what would happen to kids!

Even this seemingly bizarre history has its charm and shows the incredible work that went into crafting a place that everyone has loved. This was one of the greatest works from this great author.

To go on a real adventure in this book, you'll need to set out into the wild beauty of Maine, however! The book even suggests the actual location of "Jerusalem's Lot", with a real-world equivalent. While not a place that actually exists in the world, it should be in "Cumberland County." If you were going to find it! In fact, if you look for an iconic location, look to find "Derry". The setting of "It" is found throughout "Maine.!
