What's the Story with Sabotage?
The movie's about Arnold Schwarzenegger's team of DEA agents that get betrayed! It's a thriller based on Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" so there's lots of action but with twists and turns.
Wait, That's It? Did That Actually Happen?
- Sadly, the movie wasn't super popular with the critics or with viewers! Sabotage didn't make as much money as everyone had hoped and critics weren't super impressed with how it went.
Who Directed It?
It's David Ayer's work and that makes sense considering how much grittier and violent Sabotage really is.
So Where's The "Ayer Cut"?
- You know the #ReleaseTheAyerCut movement that was all the rage for Suicide Squad? It turns out there are deleted scenes and even a whole other ending for Sabotage that we'll never get to see.
Was The Movie Actually Good?
Well, the action scenes are great, thanks to David Ayer, but what's crazy is that the director originally planned for Arnold's character, "Breacher," to be the real bad guy - but test viewers totally hated that. So they changed it to make Arnold more of a hero at the end, where he actually finds those bad guys who killed his wife and son and gets his revenge! Now we can only wonder about how that original Sabotage might have ended up, had they kept the first ending!
In a world where the Ayer Cut was a huge thing, Sabotage's alternative ending might just give this film another life!
