Red Hulk: MCU Size Comparison Against Hulk
Following his Captain America: Brave New World trailer release, Red Hulk's forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) appearance is causing buzz among fans. But against the MCU's beloved Hulk, how does Red Hulk fare?
Height of Red Hulk: Shield-Sized Forecast
Marvel has not yet revealed official Red Hulk height information, but given his fleeting appearance in the trailer, we can roughly estimate. Red Hulk throws Captain America's shield into the ground in the trailer, and the shield covers a good bit of his leg. Red Hulk is probably 7-8 feet tall knowing that Anthony Mackie's Captain America in the MCU is 5'10" and assuming the shield is 2'6" (which fits its size in Marvel Comics). This makes him a challenging opponent for any hero and puts him on level with his comic book equivalent.
How Red Hulk's Size Comparatively Measures to the Hulk
Red Hulk and Hulk usually measure about the same in Marvel Comics. Given the abundance of on-screen references for Hulk's scale, it would be logical to expect Marvel Studios would follow this convention in the MCU. We can roughly determine Hulk's height to be around 8 feet since he usually appears next to other heroes like Steve Rogers, who stands about 6 feet tall. Should Red Hulk and Hulk be exactly the same in scale, it would create an epic clash. But we shouldn't overlook that the version of the Hulk will affect its size; sometimes the smarter, more subdued versions like Gray Hulk stand shorter than the original, savage Hulk.
Either Red Hulk or the Hulk would win.
Fans have been looking forward this fight. Driven by wrath and endowed with powers including energy absorption and the ability to release gamma radiation, Red Hulk could provide a major obstacle to the Hulk. Red Hulk's comic book background points to him perhaps having an advantage over the Hulk, even while his possible strength in the MCU is yet undetermined.
But the result of a fight between these two giants mostly relies on the condition of the Hulk. Though strong, the Smart Hulk seen in Avengers: Endgame seems to have quelled his wrath and maybe his whole strength. Should Red Hulk be indeed more potent than the Smart Hulk, Bruce Banner would be compelled to return to his savage Hulk character, so preparing the ground for the much awaited World War Hulk adaptation.
Captain America: Brave New World—a New Era for the MCU
Set to be a major film for the MCU, Brave New World marks a new era for Captain America with Sam Wilson at leading direction. It will also bring back some fan favorites, including Thaddeus Ross, who is currently destined to be the fierce Red Hulk.
Red Hulk and The Leader's comeback will help Captain America: Brave New World to upend the MCU and create the path for exciting fresh adventures. Marvel Studios is obviously not hesitant to challenge conventions and surprise viewers, thus this film is much awaited to be included to the always growing MCU.
