The world of Harry Potter is filled with a mix of compelling magic and real-world struggles, and that includes family drama, which makes it a series that people continue to come back to!
The story follows Harry Potter's magical journey as he explores his wizarding abilities but there were so many great moments that weren't part of the film's universe.
These moments were cut and often made the series have its moments where the big picture wasn't complete. What was great about the series, and those who have read "Harry Potter" will agree with this is that, a story's history and complexities! You can't have a hero without the antagonist! What made the Dursleys so entertaining, too, is that we saw how their behaviors made life hard for Harry.
Even though Harry Potter fans would have liked to see more, in the end, what this missing scene could have shown about Petunia Dursley, the beloved and most recognizable aunt.
This is all tied together with a scene that came in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." The dark creature called a Dementor was after Harry Potter and Dudley too. When they got away, Dudley had a harrowing experience with this scary creature and it really stuck with him.
It's a story full of hidden emotions and the amazing history that brings together characters in the magical world with those who just have a mundane existence, called "Muggles". There's a fascinating bond between these two sisters in the Harry Potter story! There's always some crazy events that happen! Petunia Dursley was the oldest, and her family had these interesting moments as a Muggle. Lily on the other hand had all this awesome power that made everyone around them impressed.
It appears these families are filled with the magical and even the mundane.
This story will make everyone want to get an even deeper dive into Petunia Dursley's personality and actions as they have these complex layers!
This wasn't a relationship that went right! When Lily was able to attend Hogwarts, Petunia felt totally forgotten! This created a truly tragic turning point as she decided to put her heart against the magical world and those who were in it. She wasn't about to follow in her younger sister's footsteps.
In this very powerful, heartbreaking moment she tried to find her place and she really didn't feel like she was good enough! The whole family seemed to celebrate the fact that Lily could get her Hogwarts acceptance.
However, there is a silver lining! Throughout all these tragic, tough, and emotional times, it seems she was never truly able to completely forget the importance of Lily. This is made apparent in "The Order of the Phoenix.". You get a brief scene and it is so important for fans! What they revealed was that her face changed while she heard how Voldemort returned.
That might have been a chance for her to turn things around but it seems she never really got over the trauma of the events in her childhood. This meant it had such a significant impact on her life, causing so much hardship for those who tried to approach her. It made Petunia fearful of this magical world!
It may have been more than just hate for her sister! But, it seems, what came through, that she might have held her sister "dear" despite how horrible she was. It appears she truly loved Lily.
If Dudley's memory was of Petunia's reaction when she first heard of Lily's passing. Petunia wasn't shown being supportive, yet her horrible behavior!
You could see why her love would make her react to the world as she did. Petunia Dursley lost Lily to this world!
One time in Hogwarts and then again because she was taken far too soon!
For anyone that doesn't like Petunia's character or for those who don't see her having much in the way of redemption for those terrible actions. She wasn't all just one dimensional. That's the power of what the movie's story may have overlooked.
In conclusion! It is true that "Harry Potter" had such powerful, crazy moments but with some of its iconic characters that made this universe so unique and compelling the movie really made things different. It seems that the show didn't go so far to bring some extra complex layers to these interesting, tragic figures. That makes this series so incredibly powerful, full of complex emotions, great themes! For any true Harry Potter fans out there this show, despite these missing details and insights that might make fans a bit more emotional, still made "Harry Potter" what it was in the books.
