Dance Steps from Miles Teller's Top Gun: Maverick
Miles Teller proved in Top Gun: Maverick that he has all the elements of a blockbuster star and that he can even dance just as brilliantly as his character Rooster. I delayed seeing Maverick for a long after Top Gun debuted in May 2022 to great box financial and critical success. There was nothing personal about it. COVID lingered still. I genuinely didn't have much of an attachment to Top Gun; I didn't want to go to a theater. Then a buddy stated, "I think if everyone sees this movie, America will be healed."
Although one 2-hour and 10-minute film did not heal America, if any film could, Top Gun: Maverick would be it. One of my favorite recent movie experiences was a thrills journey with outstanding talent. Being a native of Philadelphia, I have particular fondness for Miles Teller's performances since he grew up just outside the city. His performance as Rooster is superb; I would especially want to highlight two passages as especially unforgettable: when he performs "Great Balls of Fire" in the bar and dances during the venerable beach football game.
Miles Teller Dances Like Nobody Else's Watching — Just Like His Top Gun: Maverick Attributes
Like the first Top Gun, Top Gun: Maverick had a beach sports sequence where the pilots (and actors) may flaunt their remarkable physiques. The new Top Gun trainees are shown in a montage playing football as OneRepublic's "I Ain't Worried" plays, instead of volleyball. One scene has Rooster performing a ridiculous shimmy in denim shorts, which I believe to be just marginally more comfy than wearing full-length jeans. Of course, the just a few seconds long dance move became viral right away and you began to see it everywhere. It Characterized the summer 2022.
When Teller's wife Keleigh Sperry uploaded a TikHub of her husband dancing in shorts like he does in Top Gun: Maverick, she entered the game. From an episode of Jerry Spring Show offshoot, The Steve Wilkos Show, when Wilkos gestures to a woman's companion to affirm that's "[her] man" and questions, "And that's what you're going to settle for?" the audio overtop originates. Though Teller's dancing is somewhat ridiculous and maybe less coordinated than Rooster's, he has a groove. Furthermore, it sounds like his wife enjoys dancing just as much as he loves doing it, hence he won't stop anytime soon.
Miles Teller Will Resurface His Rooster Role in Top Gun 3
Top Gun 3 appeared inevitable given the great popularity of Top Gun: Maverick. Confirmed in January 2024 with Tom Cruise attached, the third movie in the series was I'm game as long as Tom Cruise is there, but I would be far happier if Miles Teller, a Philadelphia Phillies fan, also stars in the movie. When asked about Top Gun 3 back in 2022, Teller just told Entertainment Tonight,
"That would be fantastic, but TC [Tom Cruise] has all the power here. All of it is up to Tom. I have been chatting with him about it. We will see.
Teller has remained silent on a follow-up to Top Gun: Maverick since then, but it's been said Glen Powell and Teller will be returning alongside Cruise. Though Top Gun: Maverick features Admiral Cain (Ed Harris) discussing the success of his drone program, it's unknown what the plot of the next Movie will be. The next movie might see Top Gun pilots competing against drones to decide who will be utilized in battle. Rooster should clearly follow Maverick as a trainer as they equip the next generation of pilots against a contemporary air force.

When the program forces the son of Maverick's late friend to face his past, things become personal.
Maverick is a high-octane action movie honoring its predecessor and offering a novel and exciting narrative. The movie has wonderful narrative exploring heritage, atonement, and the continuing power of friendship as well as amazing aerial moments and fierce action. The movie was a commercial and critical triumph with great praise for its visual effects, action scenes, and actors. For those who appreciate exciting action and a gripping narrative as well as for lovers of the original movie, Maverick is a must-see.
