You might have seen the LEGO movies. It was Warner Bros that was behind those blockbusters! They also gave us The LEGO Batman Movie.

For LEGO movie 3 things are a bit different as Universal Pictures got the rights in 2020 and is the team that's building the newest adventure for this series! The characters, movie, and even the stories are going to take on a brand new feel! So, we are going to have to wave goodbye to Batman. Sadly. Those LEGO movies were massive hits! Fans couldn't get enough of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part! They also loved those iconic LEGO characters but they're sticking with a totally new movie.

The LEGO Movie 3 - A Complete Restart?

Even though a release date has not been shared! It's great to know that The LEGO Movie 3 is still moving forward.

You may see a big change that comes from Universal Pictures as the new owners.

There were hints that this could mean that there's an opportunity for all kinds of fun pop culture moments to occur. They might just have the ability to feature everything from Jurassic World to the wild events from The Fast & The Furious!

That means if you love a great "hybrid movie" then we might get to see this new "The LEGO Movie 3" in some really interesting ways as they've started discussing the idea of adding live-action elements! We already know LEGOs have an incredibly important relationship with real kids and those LEGO lovers and "The LEGO Movie" and "The LEGO Movie 2" took on the fun perspective! New Characters For The LEGO Movie 3

Fans won't be seeing any of those beloved Warner Bros. characters any time soon.

• There's the very unlikely possibility that you may see Will Arnett coming back in "The LEGO Movie 3" as he has a special place for many of us as Batman.

While those iconic LEGO characters will not be around this time. Fans also won't see those epic stars returning! Those include Chris Pratt. You won't be seeing Will Ferrell, or Elizabeth Banks.

What's In Store For The Story?

Get ready because things are going to be quite different! You can pretty much assume that there will be a brand new plot that will come about and we know it's going to be special because we will not be seeing the big-name Warner Bros. stars.

This will give them an opportunity to take some incredible chances to see these LEGOs come to life and a lot of fans will love how much there is out there for LEGO characters, but Universal Pictures has a treasure trove of iconic IP!

• We might see "Jurassic World" come into the mix.
• The Fast & The Furious characters. Who knows how that might go down.
• There's even The Addams Family, the amazing characters, as well!
• Universal Monsters, for any fans that don't know! This will mean we might see characters like Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster or even the creepy "Wolfman!", make an entrance.
• Fans should expect a King Kong appearance.

If Universal Pictures is taking such a big step, this looks like LEGO Movie 3 might give audiences something super exciting as the producers might continue a familiar mix of live-action with some awesome animation! And we all know how LEGOs, in this case, bring some fantastic animation! Who knows! We might even see something else! Maybe they are going to get bold. What happens? Will this movie play with those live-action parts in a super different and engaging way.

LEGO Movie 3 may just be a whole new direction for these movie-making teams. The fun of LEGOs continues!
