Killgrave's Terrifying New Symbiote Powers Revealed Purple Man's Venomized Upgrade

The Purple Man Demonstrates New Symbiote Powers with Venom-Level Upgrade.

Warning: This contains SPOILERS for Venom: Separation Anxiety #2! The Purple Man is one of Marvel Comics' most frightening and underappreciated villains, and now that he has a fragment of the Venom symbiote, he's never been more deadly. Not only does Zebediah Killgrave have the superhuman capacity to dominate almost anybody he speaks to with the sound of his voice, but he also possesses all of the powers associated with individuals who have joined with a symbiote. Killgrave isn't done upgrading just yet; he's on a mission to become the King of Purple.

In a preview for David Michelinie and Gerardo Sandoval's Venom: Separation Anxiety #2, Killgrave visits an old friend after fully bonding with the fragment of Symbiote he took from Venom in the previous issue. The Purple Man breaks inside the doctor's facility who gave Killgrave his powers, and while the teaser stops before Killgrave murders the scientist, it's evident that he's in for a bad time. When the doctor summons his security guards to murder Killgrave, unaware of the depth of his newfound Venomized strength, the Purple Man shoots symbiote tendrils into the guards' faces before instructing them to 'jump in the pond'. None of them were able to defy Killgrave's command, and even if they had, the Purple Man could have easily ripped them apart - a scary upgrade for someone as profoundly evil as Killgrave.

The Venom Symbiote Completely Fixes the Purple Man's Recent Downgrade.

Before merging with a fragment of the Venom Symbiote that Killgrave stole by touching Venom in the previous issue, the Purple Man underwent a significant degradation. Killgrave's brain was implanted with an inhibitor chip, which significantly diminished his powers. Rather than simply ordering someone to do anything, Killgrave had to physically touch them. However, now that he possesses the symbiote, the degradation is completely repaired, as demonstrated in the preview.

As he did with these security guards, the Purple Man may command the tendrils of his Symbiote to shoot from his body and attach onto his target, which counts as physical contact and so exposes his victims to his influence. Instead of entering into a room and commanding everyone there with the sound of his voice, Killgrave must reach out through his symbiote and trap everyone in that room in his deadly web before they obey what he says, which achieves the same objective but in a considerably more horrifying manner.

Killgrave hasn't reached the full extent of his venom powers.

While the Purple Man's latest Venomized enhancement makes him very powerful, Killgrave is still far from his full potential. Killgrave, as seen in Venom: Separation Anxiety #1, has the ability to gather a small amount of Venom whenever he touches him. Killgrave currently controls only a small portion of the symbiote, but he desires complete control. That means Venom is in grave danger, as the Purple Man has the tools and motivation to steal the complete symbiote from Eddie Brock, and once he does, he will become the nearly unstoppable King of Purple.

It is unclear how powerful Killgrave could become if he successfully steals the remaining Venom symbiote and becomes the King of Purple. However, if this teaser is any indication of how much devastation the Purple Man can inflict after merging with a single piece of the symbiote, Venom should be terrified and prepared for the fight of his life.

The Purple Man is a terrifying Marvel Comics villain.

The Purple Man, also known as Zebediah Killgrave, is a fearsome villain with scary abilities. His ability to exert influence over others through his voice has made him a continual menace to both heroes and citizens. Killgrave's recent power decrease, which included an inhibitor chip, limited his abilities, but the acquisition of a fragment of the Venom symbiote has significantly altered the situation.

Killgrave can now reach out to his victims via the symbiote's tendrils, exceeding his prior power constraints. The Purple Man is evolving into a more powerful and terrifying force in the Marvel Universe, capable of wielding both his Mind Control and the Venom symbiote. Killgrave's ambition to become the King of Purple, combined with his evil web of power, suggests that he will not stop anytime soon.
