It looks like her presence helps unleash the Joker, but we learn that "Joker" wasn't this monster that everyone saw and it was just a facade! The film even goes so far as to have the real world jury side with Harvey Dent to put Arthur Fleck on trial! And there's a great, intense sequence in the story, where we get to see Arthur escaping, but it really sets up what seems like "Two-Face" as one of Batman's biggest, iconic villains for sure.

If it wasn't apparent from all the twists, this movie also takes some liberties, meaning you're getting an epic story but it is a little different in its tone.

One of the key aspects, as in previous films, is that the world, or reality in this movie might not match up with other, previous versions! And, when it comes to these characters "Batman," is often younger than "Harvey Dent" in the comics but in "Joker" you don't get that classic representation. So even the story behind those origins might be different and while the movie really doesn't set up a big event where we get to see "Batman," "Dent" or "Jim Gordon", they show you some great performances and how they will truly captivate!
