Expanding the story of Lieutenant Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino), Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro), and Chris Shiherlis (Val Kilmer), the sequel, "Heat 2," is prelude and sequel to the original 1995 masterpiece.
Second heat: release date
Michael Mann has said he intends to start filming by the end of 2024 or early 2025, although a firm release date has not been announced. Consequently, a tHeatrical release some time in 2026 or later is to be expected.
Second Heat: Casting
There is great expectation about the "Heat 2" casting. Adam Driver, well-known for his parts in "Ferrari" and "Marriage Story," is apparently in talks to represent a younger Neil McCauley even while official confirmations are still pending.
