What is Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire?

This latest Ghostbusters film, released in 2023, brings together the characters you loved from the original Ghostbusters and those newer Ghostbusters - those heroes, those funny characters in those big Movies - to create an awesome blend of new and old! They've got a really special message - it’s an amazing tribute to the great director Ivan Reitman, who had a huge influence on those classic movies, so we're excited to check this out.

But the story itself is pretty amazing. Those newer heroes (remember Phoebe, Trevor, and Podcast?) are in a new mission! They had help from those characters in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and they have a lot of awesome encounters with those from the original movies, and Ghostbusters characters in the newer ones.
Paul Rudd is back to play that awesome Ghostbusters character - Gary Grooberson. He’s an important part of the new stories. And Jason Reitman is writing the script again, so it is sure to be amazing! He also produced the film - remember Ghostbusters: Afterlife - because he was following in his father's footsteps! It's cool because he has done so much work to make this franchise a major part of movie history.

How Will it Connect To Past Films?

The movie actually tells those details about some really awesome Ghostbusters characters that fans might want to know more about - especially what happened to Slimer! We were waiting to see that character get an update, right?
