First Look: Melanie Lynskey, Owen Teague, & Everett Blunck Images for Griffin In Summer.

Where you know Griffin's summer cast from?

Young performer Everett Blunck drives Griffin In Summer's strong ensemble. Blunck, 14, has the fewest film credentials among the major cast but has been in an unexpected run of western films and series. Blunck is part of the cast of the forthcoming mini-series Man is the Devil and appears in Bring on the Dancing Horses, Murder at Yellowstone City, This Old Way, Blood for Dust, and Outlaw Posse.

The rest of the main actors of the film boasts an amazing run of roles under their collective belts. Owen Teague played the ape Noa in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and was also a major cast member on Bloodline. Melanie Lynskey made a strong turn as Kathleen in The Last of Us HBO series, but her major part on Yellowjackets will help one recognize her.

Griffin in Summer: Marvel Cinematic Universe Connection

The other two leads in the film, Abby Ryder Fortson and Kathryn Newton, have an intriguing link since both of them portrayed Cassie Lang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Originally portraying Cassie in Ant-Man (2015) and once more in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Fortson takes up the part for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (with Emma Fuhrmann playing the character in Avengers: Endgame). Away from the MCU, Fortson starred in Are You There God? Me, Margaret; Newton performed the title part in Lisa Frankenstein.
