User yoyofro25 posted a theory on Reddit that asserted old Steve Rogers in Avengers: Endgame had already experienced the events of Avengers: Secret Wars. The MCU theory holds that Loki's Time Variance Authority enlisted Captain America when he returned the Infinity Stones back in time. If TVA called in one of the MCU's top heroes to help rescue the multiverse, it would make logical given TVA now pursuing Kang the Conqueror variations and the organization enlisting Deadpool—as indicated by Deadpool & Wolverine's trailers.
One of the main grievances with Captain America's MCU finale was that he would simply renounce his superhero ways and go live in the past with Peggy Carter, leaving his allies behind. That issue is resolved, though, by choosing to support the TVA and accompany the MCU's heroes in Avengers: Secret Wars. Steve Rogers would have been there in the MCU's moment of need once more and helped rescue the multiverse, therefore giving Avengers: Endgame fresh context from the past. This would let the MCU revive Evans as his original, youthful Captain America for Avengers: Secret Wars.
The Avengers: Secret Wars scenario would be the ideal approach to not only bring back Evans as Captain America but also provide MCU aficioners the narrative they have been yearning for. Marvel fans started requesting a Captain America series on Disney+ following the release of Avengers: Endgame. Marvel may have fit under the MCU's 6-episode series concept if the studio was let to experiment with the arrival of the streaming service and chronicle Steve Rogers' journey as he returned each of the six Infinity Stones.
There is no reason not to assume the TVA could do with Evans' Captain America, as Deadpool is being recruited out of all persons to save the multiverse. Avengers: Secret Wars might then begin with depicting the end of Steve Rogers' path of returning the Infinity Stones, maybe with him laying the last one in place right before the TVA recruits him and the film opens in real time. Marvel would be bringing back Evans as his beloved Captain America instead of a new universe form and satisfying viewers twice with the Infinity Stones' voyage.
Evans has talked several times about returning as Captain America after Avengers: Endgame seemed to mark the end of the actor's tenure in the MCU. Although Evans is not now considering it and would only consider it if it were unique, the consensus of his responses is that the actor does not rule out a future comeback. Evans has, nevertheless, made remarks suggesting a future comeback, such "I think there's more Steve Rogers stories to tell, sure." He only wants to bide his time till the proper moment.
Although he is guarding Captain America and it would take some time to persuade him to return as Steve Rogers, another Marvel hero Evans would be perfect to include. Evans brought life to Johnny Storm, sometimes known as the Human Torch, in two Fantastic Four films prior to the MCU. Reviving Evans as the Human Torch across the multiverse would be "an easier sell," according to Evans. With the MCU Theory presenting the perfect return for Captain America in Avengers: Secret Wars, it remains to be seen if Evans and Marvel will ever team up again.
Chris Evans returns to the MCU as Captain America thanks to an intriguing Avengers: Secret Wars Theory connecting to his rumored Marvel return. Evans is one of the most popular actors in the MCU, with the star accomplishing a rare feat within the franchise. From his MCU debut in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger to his latest appearance in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, Evans managed to show up in at least one MCU project every year. Steve Rogers became one of the MCU's most important and beloved characters, being part of some of the MCU's best movies.
After a solid Captain America trilogy and many other appearances, Evans decided to leave the MCU behind, and the franchise has struggled in recent years due to the actor and Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. departing the shared universe. With the MCU being in the middle of its Multiverse Saga, there are many ways for actors who left the franchise to return, and there have even been conflicting reports about Evans coming back as Captain America. A new MCU theory gives the perfect explanation for how Captain America could be back in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Since Avengers: Endgame seemed to put an end to the actor's time in the MCU, Evans has commented multiple times about coming back as Captain America.
