To find out the full scoop on Umbridge's fate after "Deathly Hallows" ended, you may not even realize that J.K. Rowling revealed Umbridge's full end in 2015 on her own personal site known as Pottermore, now called WizardingWorld.

It looks like there was a trial to figure out what her punishment would really be. It seemed obvious after Voldemort's fall, people like Umbridge were taken to trial! What was uncovered made her guilt incredibly obvious. It seemed as if this powerful wizard had some responsibility, including several tragic deaths, to her. It appears she was taken to trial due to "Muggle-Born Registration Commission," that made so many Muggle-borns die or suffer immensely! Why Umbridge Deserved Her Punishment:

This might just come as a total surprise to many fans as some might forget how much Umbridge impacted many of the adventures within the Harry Potter books and movies. Even long before meeting Harry and becoming his new teacher, Umbridge has shown her malicious tendencies, giving viewers a glimpse into the depths of her dark side! Before even being part of the Hogwarts story. The Dementors were ordered to punish Harry Potter at the very start!

  • This event pushed Umbridge to work towards ensuring Harry would end up in serious trouble, even setting him up as a guilty party who was performing magic without license! She tried to get Harry punished!
  • That same attitude led her to unleash harsh and brutal detentions and punishments at Hogwarts against anyone!
  • Umbridge's horrible attitudes and evil actions didn't just impact those around her. There's evidence of her completely sabotaging classes during Defense Against the Dark Arts!, forcing away amazing and devoted teachers!

The centaurs even got tired of Umbridge and threw her out!

Fans might say she got a little bit of her comeuppance and a little bit of justice at the time! Those instances are some that make the final verdict on Umbridge's character and sentencing seem absolutely fitting! But it also looks as if her punishment might have not been that harsh anymore in Deathly Hallows.

Umbridge's Fate- A Missed Opportunity:

Considering Umbridge's huge role in the Harry Potter story. She ended up being something truly unforgettable! And for that, fans wanted a lot more insight into how her final fate came about! For that reason alone, it does appear that not seeing Umbridge being sent to Azkaban in either the books or movies was a major mistake for fans to ever even consider! For this event to occur, in "Deathly Hallows" chapter 36 which included that the many prisoners of war, who served under Voldemort ended up facing justice, including the capture of those that still survived, along with several releases of those innocent who were imprisoned without merit, the change-over of the Minister of magic with Kingsley Shacklebolt taking over from his past title, this made "Deathly Hallows Part 2 seem incomplete and something more could be considered as the main character "Hermione Granger" even went on to take over the main post of Minister of Magic.

For many fans this makes a clear need for these books and Harry Potter movie versions of this classic saga.

However, with these missed opportunities, there's a huge hope that the new HBO adaptation of Harry Potter might be able to address it in an upcoming release. Even fans have high hopes. The most thrilling and popular scene may take place in the last season of the series. Even then. Those are some things only time will tell!
