Doctor Doom's Epic Entrance: Is the Council of Kangs Dead in the MCU?

Doctor Doom's Rise and the Council of Kang's Demise

The MCU is buzzing about the arrival of Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, but what about the Council of Kangs? We saw those baddies at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and they seemed like a pretty serious threat, right? Turns out, the big man in the shiny armor, Robert Downey Jr. (you might know him from the Avengers Movies) as Doctor Doom, is going to be a total game-changer for the Multiverse Saga, potentially giving the Council of Kangs the ultimate "bye-bye"!

You're probably thinking, "But wait, didn't the Council of Kangs set up a big showdown for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?" Yes, but then that whole movie thing got reworked because of, you know, all the real-world stuff. So, how can the MCU handle this massive Kang shift? It could use Doctor Doom! Imagine, right when you think those Kangs are unstoppable, Doom swoops in, maybe in The Fantastic Four: First Steps or even during the opening scenes of Avengers: Doomsday, and does a total take-out, killing thousands of them with a flick of his wrist. Talk about making a splash!

New Avengers vs. Council of Kangs?

Don't get too down about the Council of Kangs going poof though! Marvel is smart. They could even use their death to build up the new Avengers! Imagine seeing Captain America (played by Anthony Mackie, the new guy), and his whole gang, kicking butt in a major battle against the Kangs and then ending up triumphant, totally wiping out the team. That'd be an awesome start for Avengers: Doomsday, showing the world how much these heroes are going to rock.

Plus, it could also add a super-serious vibe to Doctor Doom's debut later in the movie! Imagine the world's strongest team thinking they've won against all odds and then, out of nowhere, Doctor Doom just casually pops in and totally chills the mood, showing he's a real problem to handle.

Kang's Aftermath and the Power of Doctor Doom

There's always the "maybe the Kangs just work for Doom" possibility! Doctor Doom is all about power and maybe he realizes the Kangs are a whole lotta force that could help him. So, they don't necessarily die but are controlled by Doctor Doom, working for him in Avengers: Doomsday. Think about it! That's super messed up. Then after they're basically Doom's puppets for a while, in Avengers: Secret Wars, things could go sideways and all those Kang variants, bam, history!

It’s all going to be connected to something bigger than just Doctor Doom's "make-a-planet-for-me" plan. That's what those comics hinted at, and Marvel has been putting some crazy "comics to the Movies" plans together! All of the Kang chaos leads to the creation of "Battleworld" where all these worlds crash together. It could be pretty spectacular! Remember those “Avengers: Infinity War” vibes where we all got anxious that Earth would totally vanish? Well, Avengers: Secret Wars could bring even bigger anxieties.

Is Kang Out For Good? Maybe Loki Knows!

You know, Kang being gone (or at least off-screen in Avengers: Doomsday) totally makes sense! At the end of Loki season 2, those TVA folks knew about the crazy Kang stuff and seemed like they were keeping watch. Imagine, maybe at the start of Avengers: Doomsday we hear about the TVA totally doing a take-down on those Kang variants – one by one. That could help clear the path for a more Doctor Doom-focused movie. They're kind of doing the Kang thing with a little less spotlight, which works if we have Downey Jr. in a Doctor Doom costume for some major epicness!

Honestly, everyone is totally focused on Doom! With all of these Marvel movies, it feels like there's never a dull moment. So, whether those Kangs get completely dusted or are just being managed behind the scenes, they definitely set things up for a great showdown! Avengers: Doomsday, that's the movie that everyone wants to see, and I have no doubt the big surprise is gonna be those new heroes going against a pretty wicked bad guy, a villain worthy of those two "A" words — Avengers and epic!
