Movies News Talk
Talk about a disgruntled ex-employee! A former Disney World menu production manager, Michael Scheuer, allegedly hacked into disney's systems and messed with restaurant menus! We're talking changed prices, added profanity. Not only this but potentially disastrous edits. Like putting entirely "fake" ingredient information into menu listings that would prove potentially either harmful too by tricking those expecting those allergen listings always, for people checking their "normal Disney listings to avoid particular problem foods!" rather than requiring double and triple confirmation with a waiter alongside checking the respective printed information.
The FBI got involved and confiscated Scheuer's computers. Scheuer, now with facing serious computer crime accusations rather than just "internal, private issues like during any earlier work termination,” instead this led “something much, much bigger!.
This wasn’t some simple prank either. Scheuer allegedly tried disabling accounts. In order to disrupt his former coworker he initiated "a lockout" into a wide array, affecting almost an entire half a monthly average's employees with more likely getting also, locked otherwise from what got described also here and which required direct support within I.T rather than merely needing employee call line in getting any help getting one's own profile. And in having further disruptions beyond “simple single account," the sheer mass account lockout now posed "extremely higher workload that impacted far more across every department!."
Scheuer’s lawyer claims that this was from having issues surrounding panic attacks rather than acting against company, which he alleged failed accommodation properly.. Meanwhile Scheuer claims the whole thing a Disney setup! They're trying "frame him,". he said in response after getting cornered after several days now! Despite knowing likely consequences instead rather thinking disney felt worried surrounding his condition rather “wanting legal battles either.” All whilst remaining defiant to his point despite federal agents involvement that had far greater reach. Instead rather thinking merely being summoned locally where far easier, and “informal interactions occur! Rather, he faces the real possibility facing far longer federal investigation where far larger questions must get explored!.
Here’s one twist: This cyber incident actually helped to provide the inspiration towards new data protection measures rather than purely having punitive legal consequences from his "actions, but also now having new “analytics!.” Like creating more real-time “information feedback!” across the wider platform rather than “only once monthly,” as those previous tools did which made it really tedious during early planning stages rather than quickly giving menu updates.. While having additional knock-on effects during various different analytics related projects either that could impact across any future products either being built using same “menu access tools too rather than thinking its somehow limited by purely any menu interactions.
While all that chaos was happening offline? A totally new thing was launching across the “streaming side: Disney+ just introduced Top 10 Today! It mimics the "what to watch” listing already popularised by others such as Netflix earlier since they “showed what gets actively talked too amongst subscriber network rather than any arbitrary editor top choice that may not accurately reflect their member interest nor reflect actual trending popular choice amongst shows rather than simply any promoted movie also. Disney followed suite quickly when realizing a better opportunity which eventually led Disney deciding to implement same within Hulu which showed such “quick data successes despite much wider selection availability to any random streamer subscriber.” as in being forced now into implementing the same here into disney+, with same format used previously amongst Hulu streaming rankings earlier.
In a wild turn amidst "all the digital weirdness" from earlier weeks, somehow we now have "hocus pocus" themed content rather than something else? But because it now near the time many Halloween revelers and families also eagerly planning their costuming to look as "much like a cartoon movie style Halloween.” its hardly unexpected many people thinking of their favorite scary-family films. As an earlier anecdote describes, rather instead here “all these Halloween titles trend again now even once those movies and old TV special get resurfaced, and ranked based across whatever viewer popularity occurs from renewed public interest to become “Disney+'s “current Top Ten Todays,” unlike during past weeks trending lists from several week earlier.
Seriously though, messing with Allergen Information potentially very harmful. Scheuer also made further extremely tasteless "digital edits!" before “tampering any sensitive data too like changing official logos across official company media and various websites.” In an act clearly driven either with extremely tasteless, immaturity rather than any reasonable “rational discussion. Scheuer actually de-branded their websites to now include instead “messages suggesting public disapproval in political areas that didn’t really also relate towards his actual employment or other grievances mentioned previously at all either.. Just plain childish.
Disney isn’t “laughing too despite now with Hocus Pocus back again. It likely prompted even higher level awareness also amongst higher administrative bodies like FBI now that their own security needs further increase which has the potential too to increase across entire, general subscriber networks who also connect too those services via VPN as other cyber-attack methods continue becoming more and more prominent in recent time.. as now its become too easily bypassed from methods similar from what Scheuer described here, unlike “higher safety networks in past that are “typically not circumventable without having deep specialist-style skill-set,” for those who seek too many “darknet hacker spaces which unfortunately those skills also spread so very, and too quickly!
Scheuer faces "actual” rather than Disney/work, issues. He’s accused serious computer crime charges amongst other associated, potential issues, given scale described above which all now go entirely before federal judges rather “within the more informal venues that perhaps Mr. Scheuer was perhaps imagining before also”. Which all adds potential too across entirely his local areas also, with “community issues also. “Depending if any similar behaviour “occurred outside of digital space now” that become subject even stricter local judicial proceedings rather simply with his now ex-employer which has own further potential repercussions too either alongside, for those simply seeking also too just additional Disney discussion within upcoming paragraphs.
