Deadpool & Wolverine Totally Stole From Guardians Of The Galaxy's Opening Scene... But It Was Even Better
Ok, so you're a massive Marvel fan and you're dying to know if Deadpool & Wolverine ripped off Guardians Of The Galaxy, right? I'm here to spill the tea. They definitely stole that Opening Scene with the epic dance-off... and they actually made it SO much better!
Think about it: We see Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, like, totally dominating the screen right from the beginning. This movie goes waaaay back in time to talk about everything, like all those other X-Men Movies and even stuff from the MCU itself. They even bring back Wolverine after his emotional death in Logan! Okay, I'm not spoiling anything big, just trust me. The way they put all that together is pretty amazing!
Okay, But How Does Dancing Tie In To This Mess?
Well, remember those Minute Men dudes who are the guardians of, well, everything? They try to mess with Deadpool in this opening sequence. He pulls out Wolverine's adamantium bones like he's using some totally bad-ass, bone-crushing, fighting stick! But get this... it all happens during an epic credits scene! Deadpool just DESTROYED those dudes and it's all set to the tune of NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye." I'm telling ya, it's a killer combo.
Fast forward to Guardians Of The Galaxy: Chris Pratt as Star-Lord basically steals a space gem (the Power Stone), dances to "Come and Get Your Love," and we totally fall in love with him right away. Like, both of these Dance Scenes are crazy awesome and totally put those characters front and center. And just when we think we can't love Guardians more, here comes Deadpool & Wolverine doing this over-the-top, perfectly-choreographed dance routine. Honestly, it's the kind of thing that gets you up and moving yourself!
Who Was This Dancing Machine In Deadpool's Suit, Though?
So remember that amazing dance sequence in Deadpool & Wolverine? We have a real pro to thank for making that scene totally iconic. Nick Pauley was the one in the Deadpool suit rocking those "Bye Bye Bye" dance moves and letting loose to NSYNC! The fact that a professional dancer was actually in the suit, you can totally imagine it was Deadpool himself who knew every single move. Seriously, the whole thing just screams "this is Deadpool and Wolverine!"
You have to compare that to Star-Lord. Yeah, he gets the party going but honestly, he was just moving however he felt like it. The difference here? Nick Pauley totally OWNED it! This gave the whole thing a real feel, setting the tone for everything we would see in this Phase 5 movie. Trust me, you haven't truly lived until you see this movie!
Ryan Reynolds Knows How To Throw In A Little Surprise, You Know?
Now this part of the story is seriously crazy. We're talking about deleted scenes from the movie! Apparently, there's a whole sequence where the camera focuses on all the dancers during this epic "Bye Bye Bye" sequence. It’s almost like watching a scene straight outta a dance-off battle! I'm seriously hoping this pops up somewhere like an Easter Egg.
We have a third Deadpool movie on the way. It's going to be different this time - the bigwigs over at Marvel Studios are calling the shots. Can't wait to see if the Marvel Studios guys are going to change up things. They're going to have to be awesome! This first one just showed us how much we love Deadpool & Wolverine!
Let's Not Forget About This Wild MCU Adventure!
Deadpool and Wolverine's journey into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a ride you're not gonna want to miss. They totally pulled off an amazing scene and gave us a real inside look into these two crazy characters. Just imagine those "Bye Bye Bye" moves with that crazy, Deadpool humor! It's the stuff dreams are made of.
Get ready for this next adventure. You won't know what hit you! Who knew that this crazy idea of bringing in the whole MCU, including a bunch of classic X-Men and a good old fashion Dance Scene, could all come together like this! Maybe we can even get a dance battle between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Imagine the scene!
