Get ready for a wild ride because Deadpool & Wolverine could introduce one of the darkest versions of Hulk. You're probably thinking, "Hulk? In Deadpool & Wolverine?" And you're not wrong to be surprised! The film is set to be a multiversal adventure, meaning we could see just about anyone, including different versions of Marvel characters. But what if the Hulk we see isn't the lovable green dude we know? What if it's a version of Bruce Banner's alter ego that's darker than ever before?
There's been a lot of buzz about Hulk showing up in Deadpool & Wolverine, and for good reason! There have been clues dropped in the trailers. In one scene, Deadpool is shown scenes from the Mcu. You see bits of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Thor: Ragnarok, both of which feature Hulk. But hold on, there's another clue that hints at something more sinister. Remember the Void, that weird place in the MCU where we saw Loki? Well, Deadpool & Wolverine seems to be going there, too. And that's where we might see a different kind of Hulk.
In the trailers, Deadpool and Wolverine end up in a room that has a bed. This bed looks a lot like the one Hulk used in Thor: Ragnarok when he was a gladiator. Now, we know that during this time, Hulk didn't want Bruce Banner to take control of his body. He had gotten stronger and was enjoying the fame he had as a gladiator. Could it be that the TVA (the Time Variance Authority) pruned a version of this Hulk? The TVA's job is to keep the timeline in order, and this version of Hulk might have been out of line. Imagine this Hulk ended up in the Void, a place where pruned beings are sent.
There's a chance this "Gladiator Hulk" could become something much more terrifying. You see, there's this character in the comics called The Maestro. He's a Hulk from an alternate future where the world is in ruins. He's basically a smarter, but even more aggressive, Hulk who wants to rule the world. What if the Void becomes this alternate future for the Gladiator Hulk? It could be the perfect breeding ground for him to become The Maestro.
The Maestro is a truly terrifying character in the comics. So, if he shows up in Deadpool & Wolverine, you can bet it's going to be a wild and intense experience. The idea of this dark version of Hulk facing off against Deadpool and Wolverine is super exciting. And it just shows how the movie can twist and turn in ways we might not expect.
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. We'll have to wait to see if this theory is true, but it's sure to add a new layer of excitement to the movie! Who knows what other surprises we might find in the multiverse!
