Get Ready for DC! There's Still Plenty of Action in 2024!

Even though the official launch of the Dc Universe (DCU) isn't until the end of 2024, there are still tons of Dc Movies and TV shows to look forward to this year. November is the only month without a new DC release, and that's a pretty big deal considering some of the big projects in the pipeline!

Sure, the DCU's big cinematic debut with Superman is slated for July 11th, 2025, but there's still plenty of exciting stuff coming before then! These releases might not all be part of the DCU, but they're still super fun and worth getting excited for. And who knows, some of these might even surprise you!

While the DCU is on the horizon, DC is using 2024 to release a bunch of animated movies and spin-offs from previous projects. This gives the whole DC cinematic universe a chance to breathe a little before the big reboot. Fans are already enjoying the animated shows My Adventures with Superman and Suicide Squad ISEKAI, both of which are streaming now. The year is filled with exciting new releases like Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3, Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, Batman: Caped Crusader, and the highly anticipated Joker: Folie à Deux, which is sure to be a huge hit!

For fans of the darker Batman universe, The Penguin series is launching on Max in September. This gives us a deeper dive into Colin Farrell's hilarious performance as Oswald Cobblepot from The Batman (2022).

Of course, 2024 isn't just about animation! We'll get the return of Superman & Lois with season 4, and the first installment of the DCU, Creature Commandos, is slated for December. Creature Commandos is a highly anticipated animated show that introduces us to the titular team and Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr., who will eventually reprise the role in live-action in Superman.

And if that wasn't enough, Watchmen: Chapter 1 is set to drop sometime in 2024, although the exact release date is still under wraps. This will be a whole new chapter in the Watchmen universe, and we can't wait to see what it holds!

Get Ready for Comic-Con!

We can't forget about San Diego Comic-con! It takes place from July 25th-28th and is bound to be a huge deal for DC fans. This is the perfect opportunity to get a glimpse of what's to come for the DCU, especially with projects like Superman, The Authority, and The Brave and the Bold on the horizon.

James Gunn has already hinted that the current DCU release slate is just the tip of the iceberg! So, with Comic-con around the corner, it's definitely the time to gear up for some brand-new announcements and surprises. Who knows, we might even see the first footage from some of these upcoming projects!

The Dc Universe is a powerhouse in the world of comics, and it's only getting bigger! We've seen the rise and fall of different iterations of DC on the big screen, but it's clear that this franchise isn't going anywhere. And with the DCU on the horizon, it's an exciting time to be a DC fan!
