Creed IV: Will It Be a Knockout, or Will the Franchise Go Down?

The Creed franchise, an offshoot of the iconic Rocky franchise, is already on the verge of running into one of the problems that plague most sequel movies - it can feel like they just keep repeating themselves! To get it right, Creed IV will have to create a plot that moves forward, taking us to a brand new space!

id="the-story-so-far">The Story So Far:

Creed brought an amazing story and a character in Adonis Creed, (played by Michael B. Jordan), a character that everyone was excited about!

  • He's the son of Apollo Creed! This was a big surprise in a "Rocky" movie and really made a splash for the world of boxing.

The first movie followed Adonis from the beginning! He worked his way through the tough world of Boxing! The second, he got to the top of boxing and won over his audience, showing what an incredible, world-class athlete he really was.

Creed III came out in 2023. We got to see an older Adonis Creed, a fighter who has experienced both victories and a loss in his career! He's on top of the world in Creed III and now is being viewed as an amazing role model for a newer generation of athletes. It looks like things could go wrong, which was apparent when the latest film, Creed III hit theaters!

You might think they have it all! However, the movie gave fans a good warning as well, showing what the problem could be in Creed IV! Even though the movie made over $276.1 Million, the narrative made it really obvious to the audience.

  • He is too old!
  • His time as a top fighter may be over

But it seems they've come across something familiar.

There is a real chance, if this happens to Creed. It will run into a similar problem as the earlier series of movies with Rocky Balboa! It happened after six installments. And while the movies were filled with heart, action, and powerful characters. Some of the movie's events are unbelievable! In particular, when the original actor who plays Rocky Balboa.

This actor is Sylvester Stallone who takes on a difficult role! It's always been tough being an aging actor, especially in an action role. But it shows just what challenges the actors took on and how it wasn't easy! Even if it brought audiences some wonderful, iconic scenes! The later installments of Rocky went a bit far, showing Balboa trying to win those amazing matches despite not being a real world-class athlete.

It all seemed pretty ridiculous, given he was so old! It really feels as if "Rocky IV" brought a real change, and showed a turning point that some might consider to have pushed the boundaries of believability too much.

What Could Happen With Creed IV:

It's going to be exciting to see what they can create but how do they make it realistic, without being too repetitive? They do have an opportunity to explore some awesome possibilities.

  • "Creed IV" could put focus on the training and progression of Adonis' protege Felix Chavez who took on the title as a top athlete in "Creed III" which would give this great character a chance to be the star.
  • "Creed IV" could explore the idea that Adonis is no longer a fighter but instead, he is an expert coach. He might be in that mentorship role.
  • This would really take the storyline in a different direction. Fans love Adonis' family! And who better than his daughter, Amara, as Creed IV could make her the next champ. It could showcase women's boxing! This would give us a special glimpse into an extraordinary career arc!

To sum things up! What could potentially bring an incredible end to "Creed" would mean not repeating things and bringing us to a storyline that doesn't rely on an over-the-hill athlete getting back in the ring and overcoming all odds!

This story about boxing might have to get creative. This could turn "Creed IV" into a special movie with a focus on real sportsmanship. It is not about brute force. It really delves into a true representation of sports with so many amazing, unforgettable characters who know the ropes and the real commitment, hard work and heart.

The future of Creed might just be as compelling as the entire journey from the very beginning.

That is a reason why the story of "Rocky" and "Creed" continue to bring us back into the heart of sports and will leave audiences waiting with excitement!
