February 14, 2025 marks the release of Brave New World into theatres under Captain America. This is following some delays; the was originally scheduled for release on May 3, 2024 then July 26, 2024.
In a single film for the first time, Brave New World features Sam Wilson rising to be Captain America. The movie will look at Sam's challenges to live up to Steve Rogers's heritage and confront fresh dangers including Red Hulk of the MCU. The film will also explore further Isaiah Bradley's past as a Black super-soldier who the American military overlooked.
Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Harrison Ford as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt," Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/The Leader, Liv Tyler as Elizabeth "Betty," Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, and Xosha Roquemore in an unidentified capacity.
With Sam Wilson as the new Captain America and an eye toward racial politics and social justice, the title "Brave New World" symbolizes a new era for the MCU. Originally titled "New World Order," the title suggested a comic book narrative with the Red Skull, which might still influence the movie.
Crucially important for Phase 5 of the MCU, Brave New World acts as a link between the events of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and the next Avengers movies. The movie will look at how adamantium was discovered in the MCU and its possible influence on next plots. It will also show the comeback of The Leader, a villain first observed in "The Incredible Hulk" from 2008.
For the MCU, Red Hulk's arrival in Captain America: Brave New World signals a turning point since it presents a strong new foe connected to both Captain America and The Hulk. His presence also begs issues regarding the Avengers' future since President Ross wants Sam Wilson to lead the squad in reform.
Although Sidewinder's part in Captain America: Brave New World is yet unknown, his participation points to a possible major influence of the Serpent Society in the MCU. Sidewinder leads the Serpent Society, a criminal group of antagonists with snake-themed designs who associates with several villains, in the comics. His portrayal in the movie might set up Captain America and other heroes' next battles.
