Godzilla: monster king
Godzilla is maybe the most well-known among all the Titans in the Monsterverse; Kong comes second. Godzilla's prominence as the most identifiable kaiju in film history led Legendary to base their franchise on him. Godzilla appears most often and is supposed to be the most strong Titan of them all.
Kong: The Highest Predator
Kong, beside Godzilla, is the most often identified Titan in Legendary's Monsterverse. His long film legacy guaranteed that, should the studio set him against Godzilla for the first time, it would be a cinematic event many would not want to miss. Kong, the King of Skull Island, was obliged to move after decades of rule when a storm devastated his territory and destroyed the ecology. While Godzilla is the most strong Titan, Kong is definitely the smartest, thus the Monsterverse has done a fantastic job in balancing Kong with Godzilla so that their match is rather even.
Mothra: Monarch of the Monsters
Mothra, sometimes known as The Queen of the Monsters, is an ancient friend of Godzilla in the Monsterverse that has a symbiotic relationship. Mothra is presented among the Monsterverse's Titans as the most calm and eager to cooperate with humans. Mothra perished defending the planet in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, much as many incarnations of the character prior. Giving up what remained of her vitality unlocked Godzilla's burning form and let him beat Ghidorah.
Rodan: The Demon from Fire
Legendary's Monsterverse makes use of many kaiju's from Tohos original films, including Rodan. Rodan only made a direct appearance in 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters when it comes to the Monsterverse, although he starred in many of his own films over the decades. But he also caught sight in stock footage across other films and in cave paintings.
King Ghidorah: The Terror with Three Heads
For Godzailla, the Monsteverse rendition of Ghidorah is a more than formidible opponent and one of the most strong Titans to have ever walked the planet. Ghidorah was treated as Godzilla's archenemy in King of the Monsters and was strongly hinted to be a Titan from another planet, same like his Toho equivalent. Ghidorah returned for three rematches with Godzilla thousands of years following losing to Godzilla and freezing in Antarctica.
Mechagodzilla: The Mechanical Menace
Of all the Toho kaiju rebuilt as Titans for Legendary's Monsterverse, Mechagodzilla had the most overhaul in terms of origin story. Ghidorah rebirth in the Monsterverse is sort of like Combining cutting-edge technology with the severed head of King Ghidorah, mechagodzilla emerged in the Monsterverse But this backfired for humans; their planned anti-Titan defense weapon proved to be an even more threat than Godzilla and Kong.
MUTO: The Ancestral Rivals
Mostly acting as nameless enemies for when the movies need Godzilla to fight to highlight his strength, the MUTOs are maybe the most forgettable of the Titans in the Monsterverse. Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism is abbreviated MUTO, and Godzilla from 2014 first featured them. The first antagonists of the Monsterverse, the male and female pair of MUTOs reflect a species judged as ancestral rivals of Godzilla.
Methuselah: The Titan from the Mountains
Being a massive hybrid composed mostly of rocks rather than a titanic animal like Kong or Godzilla, Methuselah is definitely one of the most unusual Titans in the Monsterverse. Becoming a "mountain" in Munich, Germany, the rock-like Titan known as Methuselah slept in plain sight for centuries. The monster did not wake until Ghidorah decided to wake the Titans, so exposing his existence.
Scylla: The Titan Armor Spider
Like Methuselah, Scylla is a giant armored spider or crab-like creature and is most definitely one of the most visually different Titans in the Monsterverse. Though it also showed in stock footage during Godzilla vs. Kong, Scylla first surfaced in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and briefly returned in Godzilla x. Kong: The New Empire.
Titan: The Mammoth Behemoth
Few of all the Titans in the Monsterverse fit a future appearance could be as justified as Behemoth. Though he only shows in two films (Godzilla: King of the Monsters and stock footage of Godzilla vs. Kong), Behemoth is essentially a giant wooly Mammoth and would most certainly be a visually arresting addition to any future sequel.
Amhuluk: The Terror Like a Tree
The Monsterverse tie-in graphic novels feature several Titans that haven't yet made a screen appearance; one of the most prominent is Amhuluk. Behemoth was peacefully living in the Amazon when Amhuluk—a weird creature with tree-like appendages and tentacles hanging from his body—attacked him.
The Sea Serpent Titan, Tiamat
Tiamat was a Monsterverse Titan first presented in the tie-in graphic novels, much as Amhuluk. She did, however, finally make a fleeting on-screen appearance in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (though, to be honest, her only contribution was allowing Godzilla to power-up his abilities).
Na Kika: Titan Octopus Na Kika
Introduced in the Godzilla Dominion graphic novel but not yet seen on the screen, the octopus-like kaiju Na Kika is another Monsterverse Titan only found in the tie-in graphic novels (though did appear in the Godzilla: King of the Monsters official novelizing). Though it is known that the aforementioned Titans aren't the only ones, it is never quite clear exactly how many Titans were awakened due to what happened in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Endopede: The Titan from Insects
Look at insects-based Titans like Scylla; they are quite disturbing. One such Titan is Endopede; but, what makes Endopede even more horrible than other insect-like kaijus is that there is a whole nest of them rather than just one.
The Ion Dragon: Flying Titan
The Ion Dragon, who not only looked great but also demonstrated that kaiju in the modern era did not begin with the arrival of Godzilla, was among the most unforgettable Titans presented in the show Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Apparently, Monarch did not find Godzilla the first Titan he came upon.
Frost Vark is the Underground Titan.
Another Titan introduced by Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is the Frost Vark, which looks almost like a mutant mole (should moles be actual vicious predators). Though it spends most of its life below, this subterranean Titan is still just as lethal on top. But it's also noticeably smaller than many other Titans, thus in a battle against Godzilla or Kong most likely would be easily defeated.
Titans Missing from King of the Monsters
Godzilla: King of the Monsters included eleven Titans named but not seen. Two of these creatures, Amhuluk and Tiamat, have formally entered the Monsterverse canon thanks to Dominion; nine more remain missing. One, Mokele-Mbembe, disappeared from view on a Monarch monitor covered in smokes. Said to be responsible for the Loch Ness Monster sightings is another monster: Leviathan.
Skar King: The Bad Kong
Introduced in Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire in 2024, Skar King is a giant ape, much as Kong is Though he lacks compassion, he shares Kong's intelligence, thus he is a very lethal and dangerous enemy. Revealed as the true villain of the original Titan War that pitted Godzilla against the Great Apes, Skar King was established as the ruler of the Subterranean Realm, one of the many corners of the Monsterverse's Hollow Earth world.
Suko: The Baby Kong
Whereas Skar King may be seen as the "Evil Kong", the small Ape Titan named Suko is at the other end of the spectrum, being not quite as intelligent as Kong — likely because of his age — but clearly sharing Kong's level of compassion and empathy.
Titanus Doug: The Smiling Titan
The Hollow Earth lizard that appeared to have a smile on its face when it devoured a rock critter in Godzilla vs. Kong was affectionately dubbed "Titanus Doug" by some Monsterverse fans.
Shimo: The Ice Titan
Shimo was the center of Skar King's plan in Godzilla x Kong, as well as his partner for the two-on-two showdown for the final battle against Godzilla and Kong.
Titans That Are No Longer Alive After Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
Several of the Monsterverse Titans haven’t survived their respective movies and are no longer in the picture at this point in the Monsterverse timeline. Aside from Kong himself, Kong: Skull Island featured two other Titans (the oversized Skullcrawler and the Mire Squid), but both lost their lives fighting the ape.
