8-Time Oscar Nominee Comforts Daniel Craig in Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man.

Glenn Close brings plenty of experience to wake dead man.

Close is among the most renowned actors to have ever starred in the franchise, even although the Knives Out cast has been stacked with eminent names over the course of two past films. Though she has famously been turned away from ever winning one, the 77-year-old performer has been nominated for eight Academy Awards since starting her cinematic career in the mid-1970s. The Oscar-nominated roles of the star are broken down here:

Close has also had success on the smaller screen. Apart from playing herself in Ellen, The West Wing, Will & Grace, and The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, she gave the voice of Homer's mother Mona Simpson in several classic The Simpsons episodes. Her longest-running television performance was as Patty Hewes opposite Rose Byrne on the courtroom drama Damages, which aired five seasons between 2007 and 2012.

Wake Up Dead Man Expanding Cast Using 8-Time Oscar Nominee Knives Out 3

A noted actor has joined the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Originally developed by returning star Daniel Craig in Johnson's 2019 smash hit Knives Out, the next film from writer-director Rian Johnson is his latest whodunit featuring the quirky detective Benoit Blanc. The sequel Glass Onion came next, which will be the latest murder mystery to surround Blanc with a brand-new star-studded array of possible suspects. That title was followed.

Glenn Close has been cast in an unidentified part to feature in Wake Up Dead Man according to The Hollywood Reporter. She adds to an interesting group already comprising Ripley's Andrew Scott, Challengers' Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny from Civil War, and most recently Emmy-winning Scandal star Kerry Washington. Given the franchise's history of including a variety of famous appearances in small roles, it is unclear whether Close will be playing a victim, a killer, a suspect, or someone else totally.

Close was nominated for four Emmys for damages, winning two more in addition to her earlier victory for silent service.

Close, one of ten previous nominees, was nominated for four Emmy awards for Damages; she also won two more from her previous work on Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story. Her legendary career shows that, whether her contribution is minor or significant, she is a benefit to Rian Johnson's Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. She is part of this first casting announcement as production gets ready to surge in June, so suggesting that it is the former—which would be rather helpful for the upcoming film.
