How Accurate Are The X-Men Costumes in the MCU?
With all these superhero movies out there, everyone is really hoping the X-Men will do their classic comic book outfits justice. There are a few cases where those Marvel X-Men suits are totally comic-accurate, but there are still some to keep an eye out for.
Have We Seen Any Comic-Accurate Suits Yet?
- Well, they just got their start in the MCU with Deadpool & Wolverine. You gotta see the epic Wolverine - totally rocking his yellow-and-blue classic suit. We got to see Gambit, too! You have to remember - that movie got a ton of multiversal action and it showed off all these X-Men costumes for various versions of the characters.
- But it is really funny because Marvel Studios is going super all out! With Marvel X-Men they really have a huge opportunity to go for super awesome comic-accurate suits.
- Now with Deadpool & Wolverine under their belt, there is really no excuse not to nail those designs.
Why Were The X-Men Suits in Past Movies So Off?
In a bunch of the movies, back in the day, those costumes were kinda weird. Storm's Costume and even the Cyclops Costume weren't too comic-accurate! You know, with Storm wearing that black suit in "X-Men: The Last Stand," you have to remember she usually wears a super bright and powerful costume in the comics! It's actually a real shame that "Deadpool & Wolverine" didn't feature an MCU X-Men ensemble with everyone in those really iconic outfits! That movie didn't have everyone we've been wanting - so that made some fans bummed!
So, Who Needs To Have Accurate Suits?
Think of all those cool costumes!
- You really want to see those amazing suits in action - X-23 Costume? That one with those claws, really looks fierce and awesome!
- And don't forget Rogue, we are wanting to see her totally cool outfit with a leather jacket and a big headband in the new MCU X-Men movies - especially since they used a really plain white costume, and everyone wanted a bit more action!
- We gotta see Mystique's full, super white outfit in a real comic-accurate way, because those outfits, for that "Mystique Costume, really capture her whole style!
- How about Jean Grey - that super cool "Marvel Girl" persona in the comics has a super awesome green and gold look! They should definitely go for that, for the Phoenix Costume too - that super intense golden power look. Those are truly memorable, iconic costumes!
- Then there's Nightcrawler, who rocks a black suit and a red vest - we saw a peek of it in the comics! It really stood out!
- Magneto always looks great with his purple and red outfit. They made that look work!
Those suits are legendary, and the MCU X-Men just gotta nail the design. Imagine those crazy scenes!
