Season 2 School Spirits Gets a Significant Cast and Filming Update
A major update for the School Spirits Season 2 for Paramount+ introduces some fresh faces as well as the characters returning in the next season. The focus of the Paramount+ program, School Spirits, is Maddie Nears (Peyton List), a teenage girl from Split River, Wisconsin who finds herself in the afterlife and meets with other dead students at her school in an attempt to solve her own disappearance. Among the ensemble cast of the show are Milo Manheim, Kristian Ventura, Nick Pugliese, Spencer MacPherson, Sarah Yarkin, Kiara Pichardo, and Rainbow Wedell. School Spirits season 2 was formally revived in June 2023 just one month following the season 1 ending.
TVLine reports that School Spirits Season 2 has officially started filming in expectation of its autumn launch. Along with Josh Zuckerman, who has been moved from recurring to regular series cast member, List, Manheim, Ventura, Pugliese, MacPherson, Yarkin, Pichardo, and Wedell will return. Along with reoccurring performers Patrick Gilmore, Ian Tracey, and Maria Dizzia, Cihang Ma as Quinn, Jess Gabor as Janet Hamilton, Miles Elliot as Yuri, and Zack Calderon as Diego Herrera join the group.

Rising talents with notable credits to their names, the quartet of young actors joining the cast following the School Spirits season 1 finale include all This is true even though Zack Calderon only has three credits. Though she has only made ten films over her career, her television work features well-known names such Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Shameless, and FBI: Most Wanted.

Drawing on the graphic novel, School Spirits is a supernatural mystery-drama series set in a high-school environment with an eye toward the hereafter. Teenage Maddie spends her leisure time looking into why she vanished until she discovers she is in the afterlife. Her high-school investigation, however, sets her down a road only full of more questions and reveals a deeper sinister scheme beneath her own death.
The program cleverly integrates otherworldly aspects with a murder investigation. Genuine fans of the genre would probably like this story since the show explores many fascinating subjects based on the afterlife. Those that appreciate the genre are most likely to enjoy this new show.

Last new School Spirits cast member Miles Elliot has also starred in major films, opposite Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man and Elijah Wood in Cooties. On television Elliot has also starred in Grey's Anatomy, Preacher, Austin & Ally, The Mentalist, and Vice Principals. Thanks to their great small-screen experience, the younger generation of performers will most likely be able to fast adapt to the world of the program and enhance it.
