Cooper's Crazy Escape Tactics
In M. Night Shyamalan's latest psychological thriller, "Trap," Josh Hartnett plays Cooper Adams, a serial killer hiding in plain sight. He's posing as a loving dad while making sure nobody figures out his sinister side. Cooper Adams uses a lot of tricks and tactics to evade the FBI, who’ve finally trapped him at a Lady Raven concert – yes, played by M. Night Shyamalan's daughter, Saleka!
Cooper goes to great lengths to evade law enforcement, using a variety of escape tactics. With his wits, and some luck, he consistently gets himself out of those sticky situations. The movie, "Trap," is set to bring in audiences with its action-packed thrills and twists and turns. Even the music was created by the director's daughter - now that’s what we call family!
From Merch Buyer to Master Thief
In a pretty clever moment, Cooper meets a merch guy named Jamie. Jamie’s got the inside scoop on the concert's layout and, unknowingly, reveals the security code to Cooper. With his new "Hamilton" password, Cooper can start breaking into different parts of the venue, sneaking past security as he seeks a way out. Remember the good old “The A-Team” shenanigans - yeah, this feels kinda like that. We even see him steal a SWAT radio so he can hear all of the FBI's communications! Just like an actual spy.
A few of those tactics didn’t work for Cooper. He tried setting off the fire alarm, hoping it would cause a distraction to give him a chance to escape, but it was all a part of the FBI plan. He even had the audacity to attempt a plan where he’d go into an underground area that only certain concert staff have access to - but he’s ultimately forced to back off, as it's obvious this tactic would be easily sniffed out by the authorities!
The Art of Disappearing
Cooper is always one step ahead of the game. It's just that when one scheme gets ruined, it's back to the drawing board! He even finds an amazing escape route. A massive kitchen explosion, caused by setting bottles of cooking oil on fire, draws everyone's attention away - a bold move. But, the FBI’s got a whole SWAT team on hand, so Cooper uses his charm on them too, and manages to convince them he is one of the venue’s kitchen staff!
Next up? Cooper gets to make a dramatic exit on Lady Raven's limousine, after meeting her uncle. Luckily, this is the director himself, so you know that things are gonna get weird!
A Last-Minute, Bike-Themed Getaway
With Lady Raven and Cooper now on the run, we witness some real nail-biting moments. But this isn't the "happy ever after" we've been waiting for - in fact, this leads us to a super dramatic confrontation where he even goes back to his family’s house, determined to kill his wife because she set up that FBI trap!
Cooper ends up captured by the FBI, with a final, desperate effort. They're taking him away in a police van - but what does Cooper do? He sneaks a bicycle spoke from his daughter's bike, using it to break free from the handcuffs that's locking him in place!
The Perfect Mix of Thrills, Twists, and "Wait What?"
“Trap" is full of shocking twists, which, for any Shyamalan movie, isn't a surprise. Just when we think Cooper is busted, he seems to appear out of nowhere again. There’s even a crazy “takeover” where he disguises himself in SWAT gear, tricking Lady Raven to get in the driver’s seat! Then, in an incredible moment, he slips away into the crowd!
But “Trap” is not a simple “action flick”, it is also a thriller, with a strong emphasis on the psychology of the characters. We are left wondering what motivates this character! He is a loving father, but also a terrifying serial killer, all in one.
It is going to be a film to watch! We've already got "Knock at the Cabin," "Glass," and "Split," so with “Trap,” the film looks like it’s adding to his distinctive style of horror and a dark suspense that makes this film worthy of your watch.
