An important betrayal is revealed in Justice League's historic underground resistance during DC's Absolute Power Event.

Blackbeard Devastates Law's Heart Pirates

Fans were not anticipating something so significant to occur straight after the end of the historic Wano Arc, thus the fight between the Heart Pirates and Blackbeard's squad surprised many. Law was the unlucky one; Blackbeard was waiting to ambush any of the pirate teams leaving Wano.

Some supporters were hopeful Law might at least fight on par with Blackbeard given his strength in Wano and the amazing power of Law's awakened Devil Fruit; alas this proved not to be the case. Now possessing the transcripts of two Road Poneglyphs, the strong Yonko is closer than ever in locating the One Piece and assuming the title of pirate king.

Law's Escape Means He'll Come Back in Future

Law's battle with Blackbeard is still fresh even a year later, hence the character has not returned yet and raises some questions regarding his welfare. It is scarcely surprising, then, that Law would not receive much attention considering the other quite historic events taking place in the Egghead Island arc.

Law is an important player in the politics of One Piece's universe and also holds the key to immortality within them, hence it is possible that they will resurfaced in one form or another, maybe allied with the Straw Hats against Blackbeard to exact revenge for his crew. Law will thus most certainly resurfaced in the narrative as One Piece addresses Egghead Island's aftermath of events.

Why Was Law's Failure So Crucially Important to One Piece?

Given Law's Devil Fruit's raw potency and his significance in the narrative, it could be shocking to see him and his pirates so totally vanquished by Blackbeard. Law himself certainly has a significant moment, but his defeat may be less about him and more about setting the stage for Blackbeard to be one of the Straw Hat's last foes.

Although Blackbeard poses a considerably more existential threat to the Straw Hats' cause, Imu and the World Government could be Luffy's largest imminent threat right now. Philosologically, the World Government stands as an oppressive emblem of oppression that the Straw Hats might readily reject. Blackbeard, a fellow pirate like Luffy, is different. Blackbeard makes entirely self-serving use of his freedom and criminal status, while Luffy exploits his position as a pirate to live a free life aiding people who are oppressed. With this ideological clash, Blackbeard's defeat over Law and his Heart Pirates makes sense only in terms of confirming why Blackbeard is such a threat to Luffy's aspirations of King of the Pirates.

The sad destiny of law

A fan-favorite character, One Piece's Trafalgar Law sadly already indicates he suffered a terrible end following his fight with Blackbeard. Eiichiro Oda at last disclosed the fate of the Heart Pirates and their Captain Law, who had been wiped off by the Blackbeard Pirates, after keeping supporters breathing for months.

Chapter 1081 of One Piece largely addressed Aokiji, the former Marine Admiral now among Blackbeard's Ten Titanic Captains. But the chapter also dedicated time to show readers the result of the conflict between Law's Heart Pirates and Blackbeard, which started in chapter 1063. The Heart Pirates tried their best, but they couldn stop Blackbeard's and Van Augur and Burgess's strength. But Bepo the Mink assumes his strong Sulong form even without a full moon since he uses his trump card and eats a medicine supplied to him by Chopper. That helps Bepo save Law and get from the battlefield, so leaving the rest of the team behind.

The Tragic Future of Law Signs One Piece Is Approaching the Endgame

Seeing Oda eliminate two of his most beloved characters, Kid and Law, in such a brief period of time is really startling. From now on no character is safe, regardless of popularity with fans; this is the best evidence that One Piece has actually reached its conclusion. Trafalgar Law would undoubtedly return before One Piece finishes after Bepo's last-minute rescue; but, the sad fate of the Heart Pirates was decided the instant they faced Blackbeard.

Developed by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is a multimedia brand starting as a manga series and chronicles the exploits of the Straw Hat Pirates under Monkey D. Luffy. Enthusiastic pirate with a taste for adventure, Luffy suffers from an enigmatic curse that bestows upon him varied powers he utilizes to guard his friends and self. With the two among the longest-running anime and manga series in history, the manga finally yielded to the anime series. With Netflix's 2023 adaptation, the series joined the live-action scene in addition to over fifty video games created over years.
