The world of fantasy has had so many epic tales in film and in books. There have been awesome movie franchises that we can't stop talking about but it’s surprising when great stories, or movie adaptations that get so much praise, get passed over, forgotten about or just plain overlooked for some really exciting sequels.

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993):
A lot of you will love this movie! So to think it was almost lost forever but somehow managed to find an amazing second wind.
- This super popular holiday movie has a story so incredible.
- It's been so big for those that adore everything Halloween!
- So it's a surprise that this classic hasn't had a sequel.
- Fans are eagerly anticipating what might happen next.
- The director of this awesome animated film was Henry Selick
One big obstacle is Tim Burton, who may not be as supportive. As it stands, The Nightmare Before Christmas is tied to his creativity. He has always gone against sequels that make no sense.
You can't make it unless he gives a thumbs up.
2. Power Rangers (2017):
You may have seen the power of power rangers over decades but this show gave a lot of fans, a brand new story that they really enjoyed. There was a lot of energy, amazing character arcs. All wrapped into a solid superhero movie!
- This 2017 reboot, made a solid debut, however. it did not hit a big milestone as they may have hoped!
- This wasn't the best performance when you compare this release to all of the other power ranger movies.
- Fans continue to give it love and appreciation
- That is just one reason, to bring it back!
Sadly it looks like, Hollywood won't often bet on something that wasn't the top hit.
But if we were to look back, it had what everyone in this industry would crave for those that are into superhero movie adaptations.
3. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988):
This crazy story combines the awesome world of cartoons and the wild antics that came out of the 1940s!
A true movie spectacle with some legendary performances and, it had a huge impact when it released back in the late 80s, setting the stage for future crossovers of these worlds and really giving those in Hollywood some new inspiration! It's shocking there was never a follow up. The fans still want more! You can always rely on Disney and some wild imaginations!
The story of roger rabbit had a ton of creative ideas. From taking place during World War II to figuring out just what was the origins of Roger!
- You can get caught up in what is an incredibly immersive world where these toons could have made so many crazy things happen! There is plenty of potential.
4. The Dark Crystal (1982):
Fans know all the work behind Jim Henson's movie creations. They took these movies from just simple movies into a full immersion that many couldn't fathom! This film made use of Henson's super iconic, handcrafted, fantastical, and unique designs to bring this amazing world to life! Even with an amazing success that these movies are known for, it wasn't a sure bet that another series would be as well.
- There was a show created by Netflix that took place even before these Gelflings. The "Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" really missed the mark when it was released.
- The real issue was it became way too serious. This was just too intense.
The original is something special and something that everyone agrees, should have gotten a chance to have some epic stories. For sure, "The dark crystal" gave audiences a fantasy movie they never knew they needed but really loved! Fans are left hoping there will be a different attempt.

- A real standout amongst these classic animation features! You get to experience the crazy life of a heroine with a unique and bold personality.
- It might not be surprising that, while this amazing character is super well known and appreciated, that her success didn't transfer over to the mainstream as a Disney Princess.
- Brave gave the audience such a great insight.
This shows how hard it is for any series to really be well accepted and how easily audiences forget or disregard amazing movies. You can expect some real action! The most epic scenes were a chance to show that the female characters, such as the amazing princess Merida is more than just about those magical events.

- The latest installment gave us that special, epic look into an inspiring story where these characters face a great mission to save everyone.
Those that played the game, love the movies as they deliver on a series of fun moments, while those who were new to the world got the chance to have a lot of fun.
This series really needed more! It brought a bunch of iconic characters to the big screen. Chris Pine, the talented star had his big moments

- As a performer, he gave an inspiring performance as a thief and helped give viewers a real glimpse into the character. He was also a compelling storyteller.
Fans of the series hope to see the return of those amazing actors: Regé-Jean Page, and Michelle Rodriguez, who're amazing performers and are in that group to help make these moments epic and full of character!

- An interesting animation movie about a super villain
- You've got Will Ferrell playing this iconic role. He brings the right mix of energy!
- "Megamind really does have so much heart, action and all of the things fans love when it comes to animated movies. And in the grand scheme, these stories don't get a ton of appreciation. So much so that "Megamind, and its universe is a world with more to offer. The story could easily be continued and fans really would appreciate that. It appears the series was revived with "Megamind Rules", and a TV film called "Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate!", sadly, those who checked it out said these films fell flat.

Studio Ghibli doesn't like sequels!
This is truly shocking! It appears that Studio Ghibli and the stories that were released. However, with an immense talent that brings these wonderful tales of fantasy. The studio doesn't seem to give any room to their own magic!
One of the best films is Spirited Away and it's a masterpiece with this fantastical animation!
So the question is. Can these big studio films do the magic? There are so many fantastic sequels.
You see, "Toy Story 2," and "Kung Fu Panda 2" gave those amazing movies the kind of epic touch they deserved!
- The main characters "Chihiro," goes on a super epic journey and goes on a transformative experience as she deals with challenges, magic and some epic and unexpected outcomes! There's nothing that would make fans more satisfied than getting a peek at how these characters lived their lives, what adventures they went on, how those amazing characters interacted and how Chihiro went on to deal with those issues after the magic!
Everyone knows this great medieval story!
The movie was based on "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight," giving fans this epic, unique world that they really loved!
Even with that incredible amount of popularity! The story and the movie were so well put together that no sequel has been discussed as yet, however, what this epic could provide is something everyone might have been thinking about: a great universe.

- The fantasy film took on all of the magic, mystery, adventure, and even action that could bring back the classic world in the most dramatic fashion and give a modern take that might even leave people feeling nostalgic for a great medieval time.
The movie came at a time when there were some big box office hits that gave fans an ability to feel that it's possible that the big names in Hollywood are getting close to re-imaging one of these series.

These are but a few amazing fantasy stories that would benefit from being continued on the screen. You could continue those epic stories and create a whole universe or you could make one of the greatest, stand-alone films! There's such a love of these films that fans, across all generations are able to connect. Who knows? Maybe we will see a few of these big, popular films that could hit the big screen!
