As MultiVersus returns following a long absence, many members of the community are dissatisfied with how developer Player First Games managed the shift of resources from the Beta to the final release. Although many have praised several smart tweaks to the movesets of some characters and the enlarged roster including some fighters no one expected to see, players and critics have largely welcomed the 1.0 release. Unfortunately, the way Gold was handled infuriated fans; many feel Warner Bros. is responsible.
Per a Reddit post by user RockmanBN, the player started a protracted discussion among the community on PFG's "lack of communication" regarding the Gold users had been saving to buy new characters and cosmetics after the game's official release. Since many believed the money would be transferred alongside other resources like Battle Pass tokens, character tokens, and Gleamium, fans believe the issue results from poor communication and corporate avarice.
The community expects a lot of new material, hence the comeback of the game is really fascinating. Fans are eager to witness how fresh heroes and characters would enter the MultiVersus universe upon the game's comeback. The game's comeback is really amazing for the gamers; yet, there are some serious questions regarding the switch from the Beta version.
Players that truly love the game will probably make the new season a hit.
Although Player First Games has not yet clarified why Gold couldn't be moved between the several MultiVersus versions, community members believe Warner Bros. made this decision to force players to spend more hours in the game or pay money on extra characters and cosmetics. Though others have started to suggest different strategies that would have been less "greedy," this is still only guesswork for now. One popular approach would be converting gold to fighter currency so that those who saved could purchase more characters.
Gold didn't transfer to MultiVersus's full release, but any cosmetics or characters players acquired would be passed on to ensure users wouldn't have to grind for the same fighter once again. Many gamers are perplexed since player and character levels have all been reset; thus, those who wish to start a game right away will be let down with a fully-equipped Shaggy packed with benefits. Though it could irritate veterans, it does help to create a more even playing field for the full game.
Double what it cost in the beta, the new model requires users to spend between 3000-6000 Fighter Tokens to access new characters. MultiVersus keeps attracting gamers back with its crazy combat antics at least. Most means of increasing income were either eliminated or greatly changed to produce less. Based on the comments of the community, it is unknown if any system modification is under consideration.

The players are worried about the changeover, hence it is doubtful if the game will be able to draw fresh players. The developers have to observe how the new game performs among gamers.
