Though the mod can help Starfield's poor melee combat greatly, it would have to be on a considerably larger scale to completely fix it. Given the general lack of melee weapons—only nine kinds total—and the lack of variation across the types—there would be significant changes needed. Simultaneously, changes of that scale would most likely call for a total rethink of the melee combat system, something that Starfield Mods might not be able to accomplish right now.
Since the Starfield Creation Kit update is under development, less than a year after the game's release, the Mods for Starfield are still functioning on a smaller scale than those for previous Bethesda titles most notably Skyrim. Focusing largely on the game's present mechanics to make modest changes and enhancements, Starfield modifications have not yet advanced to the degree of major gameplay overhauls with a few exceptions. As more official content—at least one Starfield DLC—is released, the lifetime of the game will probably see the mods grow in scope.
Starfield, Bethesda's most current open-world role-playing game, has been generally well-received; yet, some noteworthy flaws have even caused strong criticism directed against the developer's works. The game lacks exploration, battle, and narrative for some Starfield players, which makes them feel as though it is a shallow experience—not helped by the inadequate balance in the basic Combat systems. Especially, Starfield's Melee Weapons are a major issue; they lack the versatility and adaptability of other weapons and lag much behind ranged options.
Fortunately, Starfield has a strong modding community like previous Bethesda games, and the Melee Weapons Revised mod by Samuel1810 (via Nexus Mods) greatly helps to make the melee weapons in the game more interesting and diverse. Generally speaking, the mod separates melee weapons into two distinct groups: heavier weapons with the opposite, hence creating a more difference between them, and smaller weapons with lower base damage but more critical damage. The mod also allows users to find more strong versions by fixing the problem of Starfield's present quality system not applicable to melee weapons for some reason.
Starfield is the first original IP presented by Bethesda Game Studios in more than 25 years. Following a battle 20 years past in the year 2310, the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective are maintaining a delicate truce. Assuming membership in Constellation, a space exploration team, the player will design their own character. They will negotiate the strife among the opposing groups as they travel over the Settled Systems. Bethesda claims that by traversing over 100 systems and 1000 planets, users may search for materials, personalize their spaceships, and participate in their own science fiction adventures.
Many players have responded rather well to the game. Among the things that set it apart are its intriguing universe, plot, and gaming techniques. Among gamers, the game has already created a lot of talk, hence it is among the most expected role-playing games of recent years.
Set in the Star Wars universe during the latter phases of the High Republic Era, the Acolyte shows the Galactic Empire as well as the most potent state of the Jedi. Examining several crimes, this sci-fi thriller sees a former Padawan meet her former Jedi Master as they investigate occurrences all pointing to darkness emerging from beneath the surface poised to bring about the annihilation of the High Republic.
The program boasts an outstanding cast, and its plot points to lots of action and several twists. The Acolyte is a great program for people who wish more information about the origins of the Star Wars universe and the background of the Jedi and the Galactic Empire.
Melee Weapons Revised does a good job of making Starfield's melee weapons more practical, interesting, and varied, giving players solid justifications to use particular weapons over others depending on their build and playstyle even if the system would most likely need a total overhaul to match the other weapon options.
For players that like close-range fighting, the mod has a lot of possibilities and might enable them to enjoy the game more. Since it is free to download, this mod will be a great tool for anyone wishing to test out new battle strategies.
