Fans of The Sims were super excited about a potential new The Sims 5. While those dreams seem far away, EA released new info and it may not have been as cool as they wanted.
id="project-rene-and-the-sims-community">Project Rene And The Sims Community:There's a whole new game that is still in development and called Project Rene.
However, some might think this might be The Sims 5! That's a big difference. It looks to be much smaller and similar to The Sims Online.
Fans of the game started digging in! Leaked screenshots of the game, what they look to call playtest content. They were leaked on X, formerly Twitter! And many are reacting in some interesting ways. These new leaks brought to light that the game doesn't really have character creation. Right now players are left with the choice of picking from a number of pre-built characters!
If you look closely. The characters are pretty plain-looking, they feel as if they belong on a Mobile game.
That's the first glimpse at the design! Players get a new, Parisian-inspired neighborhood! Fans are going to be wondering about just how large the gameplay is, with the first hints.
Fans can unlock rewards, but you may also find that this is where they bring in Microtransactions, something that makes many gamers feel like their wallets will be taking a hit.
Players don't really have their hopes up anymore. Fans had high expectations. They didn't realize the game was so limited. Some think this feels way too much like those early mobile games that might be too simple! What makes this even more concerning, Electronic Arts (EA) confirmed that The Sims 5 isn’t on their agenda.
The community feels like they're in a big mess now, as Project Rene didn't meet expectations! In reality, there's no concrete information regarding which platforms the game will be available.
As of right now, Fans have very specific feelings, a bunch of concerns! Some of the big critiques from the Community came from these things:
Fans may have some big worries, however, with all this talk of what's missing. They haven't seen the entire picture yet. That means EA has plenty of time to tweak things. We haven't seen a true look. As they haven't even said whether Project Rene is for mobile, pc or consoles!
So the idEA is it will continue to change and it appears this game could be redesigned completely, as this was only the first, super early taste for players and game testers.
Even more importantly, EA can get feedback on the current state! This might lEAd them to some major changes.
id="the-concerns-are-valid"> The Concerns Are Valid:Gamers are very aware of Project Rene right now. and with "The Sims 5" being set on the back burner for the time being. EA may be trying to give this new, smaller version to keep people's attention, but those are not exactly "great first impressions." Gamers are having strong feelings that they have seen this game somewhere else.
While it looks somewhat basic. It might still surprise some, however. Many may also have concerns regarding its resemblance to "The Sims Mobile"! In the end, those who have been Gaming for a while will realize it's too early to call this a "flop" as things are sure to change in a big way, until we get to see more updates!
With those concerns in mind, the most exciting part may just be how the game continues to take shape and will depend heavily on the development process going forward, EA might be ready to really show what the game is capable of doing.
