Lego Star Wars has just announced four new sets coming August 1st, including a brand-new model from the recent Ahsoka series, C-3PO, and more! One of the new sets is Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea (75385) which features a duel between Ahsoka Tano and Morgan Elsbeth. The set also comes with Ezra Bridger, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and a Night Trooper. The minifigures are exclusive to this set, and each character features brand-new printing.
The model itself looks to be rather simple, with a gray base and a Nightsister temple with black columns and gold inscriptions. There are also a few play features, including a launcher to recreate Ezra's Force jump to Thrawn's Star Destroyer, The Chimaera.
The new C-3po (75398) is 15 inches tall and is sure to pair well with this year's R2-D2 (75379), meaning that collectors will be able to bring Star Wars' most iconic droid duo together as a very nice display piece. The design features include Threepio's silver leg and the torso pieces. It will likely not be long before collectors find a way to improve and modify C-3po's face, particularly the eyes.
Lego Star Wars has released first looks at their upcoming new sets from the galaxy far, far away. The new offerings coming in August include exciting minifigures from the recent Ahsoka series, a classic version of C-3PO, and even droids wearing mustaches and bow ties.
The Desert Skiff and Sarlacc Pit (75396) is an updated version of a classic LEGO set and is inspired by the iconic scene from Return of the Jedi. The model features exciting design updates for models and minifigures alike. One of the best features of the set is Han Solo's new face printing, which has been made to depict his temporary blindness from his hibernation sickness.
There are also some fun play features with the Sarlacc Pit, with knobs that make its tentacles move. The set also featured the next LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary minifigure with Nien Nunb, Lando's co-pilot in The Millennium Falcon during the Battle of Endor. Just like the previous 25th-anniversary figures, Nien Nunb has never received the brick-built treatment despite having made his on-screen debut 41 years ago (until now).
LEGO's new Creative Play Droid Builder is rather unique. Rather than recreating any one scene, character, or ship from the Star Wars canon, Droid Builder is simply a pack of four astromechs (R2-D2, QT-KT, Chopper, and R5-J2) along with a variety of fun and silly accessories. This includes floaties, mustaches, bow ties, cowboy hats, and more. The set also comes with a LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary minifigure of Young Leia as she's seen in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She also comes with a little version of her droid LO-LA59 (Lola).
Releasing on August 1st alongside a few LEGO Star Wars sets that have already been announced (like Rebuild The Galaxy's very unique Dark Falcon), these new models will no doubt be exciting additions for many Star Wars collectors and fans. The four new models include Ahsoka Tano's Duel on Peridea 75385, C-3po (75398), Desert Skiff and Sarlacc Pit (75396), and Creative Play Droid Builder (75292).
