Elden Ring: Miquella's Shocking Transformation
Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree brought a lot of lore-heavy content to the world of the Lands Between, but one of the biggest things it revealed was that one of the demi-gods we thought was a good guy was actually a scheming and manipulative monster the whole time. We're talking about Miquella, the beloved younger brother of Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
Miquella always seemed like a nice guy in the base game. He cared for his sister and even offered shelter to the Albinaurics in his Haligtree. But Shadow Of The Erdtree revealed his true colors and painted a picture of a manipulative and ruthless demi-god who's obsessed with becoming a god himself.
Miquella's Twisted Plans and Power
Miquella's ability to compel affection is a terrifying weapon. It's how he got Mohg to become his "lover" and essentially a puppet. Mohg was just doing his thing – trying to spread the influence of the Formless Mother – until Miquella came along. Mohg wasn't the mastermind of his plan to take over the world, he was just a pawn in Miquella's twisted game.
And what about his actions towards his sister, Malenia? She loved him dearly, but he abandoned her when she fell into a coma after fighting Radahn. He didn't care about the Haligtree or the Albinaurics that worshipped him. All he cared about was his quest for godhood.
It gets worse. Miquella had a plan to make Radahn his consort and even planned to use Radahn's soul after he was put into a state of madness. Radahn, who had already been rejecting Miquella’s advances, was turned into a zombie by Malenia and was then used as a vessel for Miquella’s own selfish ambition.
In the end, Miquella, a character who seemed like one of the good guys, turned out to be one of the most evil characters in Elden Ring. He was willing to manipulate, deceive, and even kill to get what he wanted. The saddest part is that his actions led to a lot of pain and suffering for those who loved him the most, like Malenia and Radahn.
