An impossible perk from a Baton?
While finding treasure with some unusual benefits is nothing new for Fallout 4 players, one Sole Survivor may have found one of the most improbable weapons ever. Fallout 4 includes randomized weapons in a series first that let players grind quests in an attempt to obtain a drop with ideally perfect stats and benefits. Usually best to have an open mind when it comes to Legendaries, these benefits can be game-changing and can transform an instrument like the Laser Rifle into a powerhouse with the capacity for +100% Critical Hit damage.
Posted to Reddit by user RadiationKnight76YT, the Fallout 4 player uploaded a picture of a weapon that seems nearly unachievable: A Baton with never ending ability—that is, with infinite ammo capacity—is Clearly, a melee weapon's sole determining factor on frequency of swing is the Sole Survivor's stamina; it does not depend on ammunition. It's definitely a funny mistake that gives the little Baton a capability that, in any weapon that needs ammo, would be immediately desired.
This is a weird, wild, whacky wasteland.
Although the community loved the impossibility of a Never Ending Baton, many were quick to note that an error brought on by mods most certainly produced the weapon. The Never Ending ability in the vanilla Fallout 4 can only be randomly assigned to a weapon or one requiring reloadable charges to operate. Although some also advised that the combination may potentially be directly introduced via console commands, it is yet unknown what mods would need to be installed to get such a strange mix.
All the same, Fallout 4's Never Ending Baton is undoubtedly a distinctive weapon. Regarding melee builds, it's normally advised that players search for and track down a Legendary weapon with sportsing ability since it will do double damage to a target in full health. This can be a quite effective tactic, particularly in light of the extra force obtained from a sneak attack landing gone right.
The Legendary Weapons You Should Own
Fallout 4 made it a point of distributing Legendary weapons to players with relative simplicity since they are mostly dropped by opponents that are (typically) rather more strong than the Sole Survivor. Although it might seem useless to cling onto the several guns, melee weapons, and armor components that might not exactly fit one's build, it's always best to save them since they can usually be sold for a fair price. Certain Legendary skills discussed above are more suited for melee fighters; but, what about other Sole Survivors?
Regarding weapons, gamers should go on search for a Legendary double-barrelled shotgun that sports the Neverending perk since it essentially eliminates the main weakness of the weapon: constant, long reloads. Although it's usually better when matched with an automatic rifle given how quickly the 15 points of explosive damage can mount up, explosive is also always a good choice regardless of what weapons bears the capability for. In line with this, Incendiary and Irradiated are also good choices; but, the latter is also less successful on some of the Commonwealth's most poisonous enemies.
Fallout's Rest On the Menu
As its community swarms with veterans and novices both following the success of Prime Video's streaming series based on the game, Fallout 4 is in the throes of a Renaissance. The popularity of the game grew so sharply that Bethesda even published a fresh next-generation update with some extra content and performance adjustments. Regretfully, the patch broke many of the mods the player base has grown to know and love, which led many to install extra add-ons to undo the upgrade.
Though it's yet unknown whether Fallout 4 gets any additional substantial updates in the future, it's not hard to see Bethesda publishing another minor fix to line with the opening of the second season. Though these have not been confirmed, rumors abound that the popularity of the show has driven the developer to fast-track the creation of another game set in the post-apocalyptic future. Bethesda has affirmed, in any case, that it intends to ultimately create Fallout 5 but right now it is concentrating on Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6.
