Disneyland's New Avatar Theme Park: Exploring Pandora's Wilds

Get ready to dive into Pandora because Disneyland's California Adventure is adding a whole new section to its park: Avatar!

Is the Avatar Park Already Open?

It's still a little bit of a wait! Disneyland hasn't confirmed a release date yet - the Disneyland park updates are coming slow - but the park will have lots to show, inspired by Avatar: The Way of Water, too!

Will there be a connection to the new Avatar movie?

It's actually going to be way more than just the Avatar theme park we've had at Walt Disney World! That's just the start. The new park is going to take us on a wild ride through the biomes, which will look totally stunning and we’ll also have a really epic boat ride, but we'll see these exciting places featured in Avatar 4, too!

What About "Avatar: Fire and Ash"?

If you watched the new Avatar movie, "Avatar: The Way of Water", you know how awesome the underwater world is, so you're going to want to check this new park out - there is also that "Fire & Ash" Avatar film to get excited about, since they've got those volcanic lands, those ash people.
That film, Avatar: Fire & Ash - that is all about the harsh world of Pandora! The concept for the park will look a lot like what will be featured in that upcoming film!

Will I Be Able to Meet the "Avatar" Characters?

While the park’s opening date is a mystery - Disneyland Resort always puts a ton of effort into their theme park experiences. And this new Avatar Park Expansion will feature all kinds of exciting details. They also have to figure out a lot when it comes to the logistics - with "Avatar" there's a ton of those Avatar movie characters - think of those Na'vi and how much that is gonna make a difference. The thing is - Disneyland has done this type of immersive thing in the past with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, so I know they will pull it off!

Will There Be Any New Rides?

Those Disneyland Imagineers have done an amazing job in the past! So this expansion is going to feature some really unique new attractions for the theme park. They want everyone to get swept up into Pandora’s world!

With this much effort put into Disneyland's Avatar expansion, you gotta wonder - this will be like a new era of Avatar theme park experience! It might even encourage people to see more of James Cameron's Avatar movies, too. You never know, those new attractions might make a whole new group of fans!
