What's So Weird About the Reapers in Ark: Survival Ascended?
Ever played Ark: Survival Ascended? If you're into MMORPGs with tons of crazy dinosaurs, this game will give you that action and adventure, and then some! They just added the Aberration DLC - that takes things into a seriously weird and totally cool dimension - and this comes with an extra special dinosaur, the Ark Reaper, that has a really unique taming mechanic.
How Do You Tame a Reaper?
- It isn't your average taming experience! Forget the typical sedative-type stuff - Reapers, especially the Reaper Queens, are a totally different breed! The game inspired the taming process from those freaky Xenomorphs in Alien movies - but without any gross scenes! This process is truly unique in this world of Ark: Survival Ascended.
- We're talking about a whole lot more than feeding them to tame them! They can become a top mount for battles in the game. So how does this work? Players have to get "impregnated" by the Reaper Queen - kind of scary, I know! The queen will deposit an Ark: Survival Ascended Baby Reaper inside the player. They can then start a really cool imprinting process.
- You are going to have to keep your health in check during that whole process or you might wind up killing the baby, though! It can be tough, but worth it. The baby Reaper can get those abilities as well! They even grow up to become Reaper Kings!
What's the Whole Deal with Aberration DLC?
This is the next level of Ark: Survival Ascended gameplay! The new Aberration DLC adds the Aberration map to the world - and that takes you to a dangerous place with loads of Ark Aberration Creatures that can kill you if you're not careful! Those Reapers might be one of the best creatures to add to your side - and the coolest Ark Aberration Mechanics!
That Ark: Survival Ascended Update will blow your mind!
You gotta wear an Ark: Survival Ascended Hazard Suit to withstand the super high Ark Aberration Radiation, so it is way tougher. Even those creatures have their own resistance to radiation levels and they are adapted for that super intense, hostile underground world! It really ups the stakes.
